Print Professional Letterheads From HomeSubmitted by andrewmichaels Wed, 14 Apr 2010
Of course, it is possible to print letterheads at home with the help of your trusted printer. But sometimes, it pays to have a professional do the letterhead printing for you.
You might have a good home-made letterhead but there is no substitute to having your print letterheads reproduced by a recognized letterhead printing company. The look and feel of a letterhead printed by a professional printing company is still your best bet. You might have a good design in your head but you just don't have the acumen and the equipment to print letterheads on a professional level. But if you insist on doing your own custom letterheads, then by all means go ahead. But bear in mind the following steps to, at least, make these letterheads look professional and which something you can be proud of. 1. You might have an interesting design percolating somewhere in the deeper recesses of your brain, but will it stand scrutiny? It is suggested that you create a layout based on fool proof templates. This is ideal because experts designed these templates and all you have to do is to fill in the gaps. Find the template closest to what you have in mind. There are plenty of letterhead templates available. You just have to find the design that suits your business best. This is easier than starting from scratch. 2. Now that you have a template, start thinking about the content. Write it down and see how the words interact with one another. Look at how the words come across. View the letterhead content from the vantage point of a reader. Make sure that you compose the content carefully and check them for minor grammar or spelling errors. This is where most homemade stuff fails. They often overlook the minor details that although minor, can significantly affect the letterhead, and more importantly, the reputation of the business. The proofreading bit cannot be overemphasized. If you are doing it from home, be sure to be very precise with the information, the grammar and the spelling. 3. Before you go ahead and print multiple copies of your letterhead, I would suggest that you think about printing details. Do you want a multi colored letterhead or one that is plain black and white? What kind of paper? There are a lot of factors to be considered before you can go ahead and print your first letterhead. It is essential that you factor in these things to come up with a professional looking one.
