8 Reasons Why Every Charity Must Write a Book

Submitted by pcgpress

Every charity, not-for profit organization, or ministry must write a book that tells its story, and
here is why:
#1—Through a book, your story is told, over and over, through the power of multiplication.

It is impossible to tell your story and share your message, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, as
effectively as a book. A book is passed around and recommended, and it consistently gives the same accurate information.

#2—Through a book, you build awareness and raise support.

A book is the perfect way to make people aware of what you are doing and what you hope to accomplish.
When you find those who share your passion, they will likely give toward you and your charity. People want to support those who are doing what
they want to do! A book will connect you to your supporters.

#3—Through a book, you are perceived as the expert.

As soon as the book comes off the press, your charity will be seen as the expert and authority.
This alone is a good enough reason to get your book done and off the press!
#4—Through a book, people can learn and share your vision.

People want to know why you do what you do, and a book is a great way to share your vision.
They, in turn, will do the same for you, sharing your vision with others.

#5—Through a book, you have the perfect gift.

A gift to supporters, family, contacts, and friends in the form of a book is a powerful promotional
gift or "thank you." It is also a gift that will keep on giving in that people will probably read it and want to share it with others.

#6—Through a book, people will know you are serious about your work.

Many ideas and efforts come and go, but those who are serious, looking to the long-term, are
the ones that people want to get behind and support. A book is a solid, "permanent" tool that demonstrates just how serious you are about
what you do.
#7—Through a book, you have the absolute best calling card!

How many times have you heard, "What do you do?" and yet you didn't have enough time to
effectively explain your heart and passion? These are missed opportunities. Instead, give out your book! It's the best calling card there is.

#8—Through a book, you are building a legacy.

As the years go by, past stories, victories, and accomplishments will be forgotten. You must
not lose what you have gained to this point. A book can effectively capture the past as you move into the future. It is your legacy!

In addition, all of this isn't going to cost you or your charity an arm and a leg! One book I have
at the press right now is costing the author less than $1 a book! He is buying 5,000 copies of his 128-page book, but if that were your book,
you could be putting it to use in a variety of ways. The opportunities are limitless at these prices.
The time is NOW to write that book and to put it to use for your charity, not for profit, or ministry.

Brian Mast (http://www.thepublishinghub.com and http://twitter.com/authorsup) is an author and master book creator who has helped write, edit, and publish almost 100 books with more than 1.6 million copies in print, and counting. If you are ready to make your book a reality, from production to publishing, he can help.
