Joy Brings Laughter...

Submitted by Sumit566

There are many out door sports to be enjoyed, and for many people the very presence of nature is a great joy. How true do you find this statement? If we are cheerful and content, all nature smiles with us, the air seems fresher, the skies more clear, the earth has a brighter, greener glow. The trees have a richer foliage, the flowers are more fragrant, the birds sing more sweetly, and the sun, moon, and stars all appear more beautiful. I believe it! When I "feel good" the whole would looks, sounds, and feels sweeter! It brings a deep joy to my soul and a sense of laughter and peace.

It is so awesome to be alive - to open your eyes in the morning and look out upon the world, to just drink in the pure air and enjoy the sweet sunshine! It's amazing to feel my hearts' pulse increase and allow the flow of my blood to rush through my body- increasing all of my sensors. It seems to send strength and power to each and every nerve. I know; it is a good thing simply to be alive, and this is a good world we live in.

This is a little poem on Joy

I love to hear the bee sing amid the blossoms sunny;
To me his drowsy melody is sweeter than his honey:
For, while the shades are shifting
Along the path to noon,
My happy brain goes drifting
To dreamland on his tune.

I love to hear the wind blow amid the blushing petals,
and when a fragile flower falls, to watch it as it settles;
and view each leaflet falling - Upon the emerald turf,
With idle mind recalling - The bubbles on the surf.

I love to lie upon the grass, and let my glances wander
Earthward and skyward there; while peacefully I ponder
How much of purest pleasure - Earth holds for his delight
Who takes life's cup to measure - Naught but its blessings bright. (UnKnown)

Everywhere we look in life we can find what are called - "Unworked Joy Mines"

So it's wise to go prospecting daily to see what we can discover. Let's train our eyes to see beauty in everything and everywhere.
Every day, at least listen to one happy song, read a good poem, see a fine picture, and always when possible speak encouraging joy filled. This is good for our own souls so why not share the song, the poem, the picture, and the good words, with some one else?

The music and poetry of your heart should not die out of you while you are struggling for that which can never enrich the character, nor add to the soul's worth.

A disciplined imagination can fill the mind with beautiful pictures and a well-balanced life is a cheerful life. Did you know that Abraham Lincoln kept a copy of the latest humorous book or article on the corner of his desk? It was his habit, when he felt fatigued, or annoyed, or depressed, to read a chapter a bit to find relief. He enjoyed both clean sensible wit and sheer nonsense. Anything that caused him to chuckle or to laugh right out loud, he considered a true gift from Heaven.
