Logos for Business Cards

The world of business has picked up its pace in the past decades broadening the horizon for the people who enter into the business environment. This shift in the culture has increased competition amongst entrepreneurs. As a result, the need for a separate identity has become critical. One of the most critical decisions when designing a business card is the images to place on the card. The company logo is the single most important image and represents the company when the card is presented. Deciding on a logo takes meticulous work and deliberation as the final design needs to tell everything about the company in one picture. Companies then use this logo on all their printed material for the organization.

Choosing a Business Card Logo

Most organizations derive their logos from acronyms formed from their business names. Graphic artists utilize computer software programs to manipulate these letters to create an image, which is eye catching and long lasting. Throughout the design process, constant checking is made to ensure the final product conforms to the image of the company. Company logos should be unique in design and in no way depict that of another organization.

Size of Logo

The size of the logo is important to the overall formatting of the business card. The logo should not restrict or impinge on important information. Always remember the point of the business card is to provide quick information to the client.

Color of Logo

Most organizations print their logos in 12pt gloss cover finish. This makes it attractive and stands out on the business card. Printing formats include:
* Digital printing
* Four color printing
* Offset printing
* Regular Color printing

Organizations should sit down with their graphic designers to discuss the specification they have set for their cards to ensure easy and precise printing.

Business card logos can also be designed within the organization. There are several computer graphic design programs and internet websites that allow the user to input their company name and then automatically generate hundreds of logo designs. These methods have proven beneficial to low budget organizations who still desire to have their company name out in the public domain.
