With the number of work at home scams out there, you should really be careful when you're looking for a home-based career. One thing you should watch out for are the fees involved. Legitimate work at home schemes should have no fees. After all, they're the employers; they should be the ones paying you money by working for them. Remember, if something sounds too good to be true, then it probably is.

Below are some of the no fee work at home jobs you'll most likely stumble upon and some information on how to watch for telltale signs of scams. Note that these are only a few of the no fee work at home opportunities. There are dozens more available out there. You only have to know where to look.

No Fee Work at Home: Get Paid to Take Surveys

Who doesn't want a no fee work at home job that is as easy as getting paid to take surveys? There are several survey sites on the web that are willing to pay you some amount of money for your honest opinion about their new products.

Surveys are a good way to earn a little extra money. It might even become lucrative as some, particularly focus groups, pay good money. However, taking online surveys as a no fee work at home job isn't an eight-hour-a-day type of job. At most, it's only going to serve as a sideline. So don't make any long-term plans on money you earn from paid surveys. Don't plan on getting rich with it either.

No Fee Work at Home: Phone Acting

Now, this is an unusual no work at home scheme. It's not a scam. And it doesn't require a fee either. But it may well just require a little more acting than you're willing to give. So if you see an ad about a position as a phone actor, make sure to make inquiries first before jumping the gun.

No Fee Work at Home: Mail Order Businesses

There's no doubt that mail order businesses are probably the commonest no fee work at home schemes running around these days. And although some of them are legitimate, there are still those that are just scams to fool you out of your hard-earned money. So don't be a fool. If a company brochure tells you to pay some up front fees in order to start working for them, run away. These companies are good at charging you money for the information they send you, which by the way, you can easily get hold of by yourself.
