Virginia is a medium sized state on the Atlantic Ocean with a population of about 7.5 million people. The capital is Richmond, and the largest city is Virginia Beach, with a population of 450,000. Virginia Beach is one of a group of cities around the Hampton Roads harbor, including Newport News, Norfolk, Chesapeake Portsmouth and Suffolk, with a total population of 1.7 million. Another major concentration of population in the state is along the Potomac River in Northern Virginia, including Arlington and Alexandria, which are suburbs of Washington DC. Economic activity in Virginia ranges from military bases, to hi-tech companies, to beach resorts areas. There are plenty of possibilities for your Virginia Incorporation.

Agricultural products include soy, tobacco, peanut farming and cattle-raising. Vineyards in the Northern Neck area and the Blue Ridge Mountains have become popular. Soy and tobacco are top crops in revenue. Richmond Virginia has its own Federal Reserve Bank.

Government agencies from the Pentagon to the CIA are headquartered in Virginia.
In addition to the Pentagon, there are US military bases at Fort Belvoir, Arlington, and in Norfolk and the Hampton Roads area. Arlington Va. is also the home of Arlington National Cemetery, the resting grounds of almost 300,000 people, including President John Kennedy. The Pentagon in Arlington is the headquarters of the United States Department of Defense and was built during World War II. It is the world's largest office building. The building is shaped like a pentagon and has five floors, with each floor having five ring corridors.

Alexandria, Va. is located across the Potomac River from Washington DC, and has a population of about 125,000. Alexandria is unusual in that Cameron Run Regional Park includes a water park with a wave pool and water slides. Within the city you can see the George Washington Masonic National Memorial, also known as the Masonic Temple.

Virginia is a top concentration of hi-tech workers. One concentration of these hi-techies is the Dulles Technology Corridor centered on the border of Fairfax County and Loudoun County near Dulles International Airport. Businesses in Loudon County include America Online in Dulles, Virginia.

The Hampton Roads area has lots of military bases. Norfolk, Virginia is a medium sized city on the Hampton Roads harbor, by the mouth of Chesapeake Bay. It is a major seaport and home to the huge Norfolk US Naval Base.

A favorite tourist activity, and also popular on special occasions for local picture are
Harbor cruises on the ship, the Spirit of Norfolk, for an afternoon or evening cruise on
the Elizabeth River. Just to the north of Norfolk, through a tunnel is Hampton, and north of that is the historic site of Virginia’s colonial capital, the beautifully restored Williamsburg. This restored and reconstructed city contains over 500 buildings over 301 acres. It is also not far from Jamestown, the site of the first English colony in the New World, and Yorktown, the site of the final American victory in the Revolutionary War, in 1981. Norfolk has its own international airport. For nature lovers, Great Dismal Swamp National Wildlife Refuge is located in Chesapeake. This area is home to much wildlife.
