My motto was “I am an island, alone at peace.” I was a one-person army of skills and I was not fond of sharing my spot of glory, by quoting, “I will do it myself.” I was about to discover the true meaning of teamwork, and I have adored this theory ever since. Needless to say, I did not work well with my formal teams. I remember in one of my college courses that it is important to understand our motivations of how our mind works in accordance to the complex mixtures of our emotions, which involves our ambitions, desires, fears and learning experiences. I was fortunate to become a part of The NetWEB Marketing Global Community, which is a powerful business structure of personalities that is gaining from other entrepreneurs.
I learned to listen to others and hear their concerns. In my other former organizations, oftentimes changes in policies and protocols created stress on organization members because they were not ready for changes, neither was I, so I have learned from this notable organization how to acknowledge their skills and concerns. I am learning how to accept alternatives in difficult situations and negotiate problems for a good outcome. The ability to recognize and understand the impact of organizational influences will improve teamwork, morale and trust, and the organization will continue to progress. “No man is an island, entire of itself...any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind; and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee (The Phrase Finder, 2006).”

The focus is now on reachable solutions. The roles of responsibilities have been agreed upon and trust has been established through The NetWEB Marketing Global Community. There are now fewer complaints whereby a common goal has been established among the colleagues, and the power of the team can be exerted into usable energy.

We have learned to reach decisions effectively by bonding together to encourage innovation among our colleague members by sharing essential information with one another for the purpose of growth. Our colleagues always work toward specific milestones, solving problems and creating new ideas. One of the main functions that lead to effective decision-making is to support one another during the group decision-making process. We normally would have a list of tasks that needed to be completed and would answer questions and provide feedback on completion. We then move on to our individual assignments.

Through others, you can learn to coordinate your actions to assist one another, because you will learn to understand that it is better to have harmony, which is a mutual benefit of group survival. We are provided with praises, incentives, and gifts for our individual accomplishments, as well as our group project efforts, which leads to learning how to become committed to the project and trust the process.
