Additional Info from Wayne Madsen Reports Emergency preparations in dealing with the expanding oil menace are now being made for cities and towns from Corpus Christi, Texas, to Houston, New Orleans, Gulfport, Mobile, Pensacola, Tampa-St.Petersburg-Clearwater, Sarasota-Bradenton, Naples, and Key West. Some 36 FEMA-funded contracts between cities, towns, and counties and emergency workers are due to be invoked within days, if not hours, according to WMR's FEMA sources."

Number of People in Affected Area - Without going around to the eastern coast of Florida we get about 30,000,000 people. If the hurricanes in the Gulf carry the oil inland it increases these numbers a lot. It can easily get 200 miles inland or more. The oil rains damage crops, animals and lead to toxic gasses. If you get into the eastern Atlantic states the number goes up even higher. The point is evacuate to where? FEMA has nowhere near this capacity. I hear they have capacity for a few hundred thousand people.

Give them more credit and say they can handle one million or even three million it is a drop in the bucket. Evacuation fears are nice but not realistic. First look at the transportation aspects of this. How do you move the people? People can't take their cars because there will be breakdowns blocking the exit routes. So they need to provide transportation. Trains are tough because how do you get to the train. Trucks are also tough because of the sheer magnitude of the numbers. See how ridiculous it gets.

Personal Possessions - People would not be allowed to take more than a suitcase or two. They will love that. So they lock everything up in their homes. Now you need to patrol the areas to stop looting. Who stops the police? Remember seeing the police loot walmart on video during Katrina? Will happen again. How do you keep the police safe?

Manpower - If they evacuate people they need to provide them with medical, food, schools, medication, hospitals, clothing, laundry, bathing, toilets, recreation, etc. How is this possibly going to happen? They do not have such resources. If they had one million people in FEMA camps they would probably need at least 35,000 people to take care of them.

Let's go through it. There needs to be food and food preparation plus cleanup. Then there need to be plumbing, toilets, showers. Schools. Hospitals and medical. Communication. Electrical. Registration, administration, security, etc. What happens to everyones pets? Will they kill them? 35,000 people to manage one million is a very conservative number. If you had 30,000,000 people that would be like one million workers. They need to be able to live near the facilities, commute, need their own housing food etc. This is a decent size city of just workers. Thirty million people would be like New York, Tampa, Miami. Los Angeles, San Francisco and Houston together. Come on they have no such capability or even close. I think evacuation is off the table in general. They may as an exercise for learning experience try evacuating a small area here and there just to see how the people react but a massive evacuation is absolutely not feasible.

Martial Law - Now this is real. The muslim from Kenya would very much like to pull martial law. This is a good reason since it is a real health threat. The fact that he played a contributory role or even worse is not meaningful to most people, the threat is real. What will martial law do? Not much. They will try a gun grab for sure. In Katrina they got away with the gun grab no problems. They learned and will do it again. This time Obama will destroy the guns grabbed by steam rollers or something so there is no chance of them ever going back into citizens hands. This would be a serious victory for them and rest assured this is a hand they will more than likely play. I expect there will be roadblocks. They will stop and search cars and people will not be able to carry guns. CCW licenses will be suspended. Later on they will start with the residential confiscation to maintain order. People will be getting sick and dying. Shortages of everything will result. Access will be controlled in and out of the affected areas. A nightmare courtesy of the kenyan.

Suggestions - If you can relocate out of the region for a few months do so. Suggest going at least 300 miles inland, 500 better. If this is not feasible get a Uhaul and fill it with a lot of valuables including some of your guns and ammo. Drive inland about 300 miles or more and then rent a storage locker and offload into this. That way many of your things will be safe including some of your arsenal, and valuable possessions. Pictures, collectibles, valuables etc are best stored. If for some reason the fears are not realized then you can return to the storage locker and retrieve your goods at a later date. So it is an insurance policy.

Communications - Get a solar powered shortwave radio. The close the internet law is being passed for a reason - they intend to use it. Shortwave will be necessary for real news and communications. If you can afford a transceiver that transmits, better yet. This enables you to talk to people around the world. These are not solar powered. You might be able to use a generator to charge batteries to run it or use a lot of solar panels to collect enough electricity to power it. Stock up on medicines, food and drinking water. Get good water filters.
