If you're like most people, you've built up a lot of junk over the course of your life. And you don't have enough attic, basement, second bedroom, and garage space to store everything. If you're not comfortable using a self storage facility, building your own storage space is the answer. A great way to accomplish this is by constructing a metal or steel building.

Why should you look into using a metal structure for your storage needs? Most people think of airplane hangars when you mention "steel building, "but there are far more applications for which a metal structure can be used. Metal buildings can be built into skate parks and ice rinks, and are also used as the basis for office buildings, churches, warehouses, and even living spaces. There are no limits to what a steel building can be used for, and their designs can be modified for an unlimited number of uses.

Automobile storage
A steel building can keep your car clean and dry and can double as an auto shop. Automobile enthusiasts can put together their next vintage dream vehicle in their own space, right in their own backyard. A steel building is also a good place to do body and paint work, too.

Boat storage
Tired of paying to store your boat every season when you take it out of the water? Instead, you can store it on your own property. You'll even have the space to work on your boat that's dry and away from the elements. Storing your own boat or personal watercraft in a steel building will also eliminate the hassle of having to cover your boat in the winter of off-season.

Big people toy storage
Motorcycles, ATV's, personal watercraft, and snowmobiles take up a lot of space when you aren't using them. A metal structure is a great place to store all of your toys when the season's over. Your own personal storage building can also provide a place to tune your toys up before the next season starts.

RV storage
Most standard garages won't accommodate the storage of your prized RV, but a metal storage structure can give you enough space to store any sized RV and keep it ready to go the next time you need it.

Shop buildings
For a small business owner or hobbyist, having a shop to work in can be an expensive, out of reach dream. Metal structures make a great work shop at a good price.

Sports facilities
Does your kid's soccer league need a place to practice? Maybe you want to build an outdoor ice rink but don't have a building to house it in. There are many different sizes of metal buildings that can be constructed by a local sports association who wants to build their own stadium, baseball dugout or shooting range.

Parks
Parks can use metal buildings to provide a covered space for picnics, concerts, or as a recreational facility, or even build a metal structure to serve as office space or equipment storage.

Farm buildings
Metal buildings can be built to house farm animals, as well as to store agricultural items such as feed, supplies, tractors, hay, harvests, and grain.

Offices
Building an office building the traditional way -- out of bricks and mortar -- can be expensive. A metal building can be used as an office and can be constructed less expensively and more quickly.

Airplane hangars
Probably the original use for a metal building was to store airplanes, and they're still used for this today.
