Three Residual Income Creating IdeasSubmitted by bworley Mon, 9 Feb 2009
Residual income is a powerful concept. Getting paid over and over for work done once is the power of residual income. Singers, song writers, actors, and authors all experience residual income, called royalties. They get paid when their songs are played on the radio, their movies play in the theaters or television, or when their books sell.
For everyone else, here are three ideas that you could use to create a residual income: 1. Network Marketing Network marketing is the easiest way to start building a residual income for those willing to work hard. Network marketing usually involves selling a companies product or services, which are resold to the same customers each month, by yourself and by those you recruit into your sales organization. Your organization exist of more than just who you recruit, but those who were recruited by the people you recruit and so forth. Residual income is created when you sell a renewable product and get paid as long as the product is reordered by the customer. Leveraged residual income is where you get paid on the sales and reorders your sales organization makes. What makes network marketing a great way to create a residual income is what the company and your upline bring to the table. The company usually has a step by step system to help you be successful. Likewise your upline may have additional tools and techniques to help you be successful. The most important thing the company and your upline will have for you is support. Both have a vested interest in your success and in your ability to build a large residual income. 2. Affiliate Marketing Affiliate marketing is like network marketing in the fact that you are selling someone else's product or service. That is about where the similarities stop. For the most part, affiliate marketing opportunities rely on you to have an idea on how to market the product. Most times this involves advertising on the Internet. With affiliate marketing, most of your products are one times sales. To build a residual income you must continually makes sales. Occasionally a product will come around that is a subscription service that you can make a residual income from. With affiliate marketing there is little support. There is no “upline” to go to for help. Sometimes the product owner will help you, but no major support is offered. If you do not know what you are doing, it can be hard to create 3. Create Your Own Product Similar to affiliate marketing, you can create your own product to sell on the Internet. The bes types of products to sell online are information products. These products are inexpensive to produce and (most time) free to deliver. The best way to develop a residual income with these types of products is to offer the sale of the product as an affiliate opportunity. This allows others to make money offering your product while you make money for each sale. And while this not a true residual income, it is close enough. The downside to doing this is in product creation and knowing that new products are always needed to keep sales going unless your first product is independent of changing times, technology, or other factors.
