What would be global sourcing without suppliers online?

Well the title of this article might seem familiar because it is related to common everyday questions like what would be my life without my wife, or what would be Hollywood without Jackie Chen and so forth, similarly I thought of asking myself what would be the scenario relating to multinational purchasing and global sourcing with the presence of suppliers online. Well the answer for a pessimistic person would be that life would literally come to a standstill and there is no further scope in it, but an optimistic person would certainly say that life still goes on whatever may happen, rather the show must go on. Yet this does not mean to defy the contribution of a spouse in one's life which is very important and will certainly affect one's life. Similarly the global sourcing and multinational purchasing activities may not come to a sudden death in the absence of suppliers online, yet it will have a major impact on the former. Of course I don't want to sound like a doomsayer but I only want to make you realize the importance place which suppliers online have silently but steadily come to occupy on the horizon of multinational purchasing, global sourcing and e-commerce.

This should not come as a surprise since most of the global phenomenon such as multinational purchasing and global sourcing were only limited in the earlier days because of the literally insurmountable barriers that natural factors like time and space, which factors such as suppliers online tend to defy to some extent. Hence without the suppliers online these activities would again reach the Stone Age so to speak and would become snail paced once again. I keep giving a simple analogy many times that just imagine you wanted something from China but are sitting in Europe or the United States and do not have the advantage of using the services of suppliers online from your desktop for doing such global sourcing and multinational purchasing activity. In such a case you would simple sit and wait for your postal mail to get delivered and answered for days together or make expensive telephone calls where you cannot discuss in much detail or see pictures or videos of the product. This would certainly seem very depressing especially after having been accustomed to using suppliers online for global sourcing and multinational purchasing activities. This all can be avoided if suppliers online continue to provide their services and keep helping the global sourcing and multinational purchasing activities and get benefited by the same.
