Animator is the word used for a person who has learned to apply computer software to form animated images and special effects for industries such as gaming, advertising, and motion pictures.

There has been a steady rise of computer-animated movies in the box office over the last few years, gaining the attention of people of all ages. Hence, animators nowadays are in high demand.

Animator: A Preview of the Life of Animation

Regularly, animators use up 40 hours per week in the office to work on projects with the use of computers and state of the art technology. Usually, these hours are spent on the computer or with customers and colleagues on group meetings and formulation.

Sometimes, they may consume their evenings and weekends to beat deadlines.

Several components such as experience, education, specialty, location, and company can shape an animators wage. For entry levels $46,000 is standard, increasing to $75,000 to $85,000 for those with six to ten years experience, respectively.

Whatis needed to become an animator?

A winning animator must be one that has the inventive and versatile power and the skill to blend both. They should also be superb at managing time and knowing the perks and wants of the public and their clients. They must be thorough at working under pressure.
Many colleges and universities provide programs for animation, going from traditional associates, diploma, bachelors degree, technical, and certifications in animation and 3-D modeling and other such affiliated areas.

Most entry level positions call for a bachelors degree in related fields such as fine arts; many of alike programs are acquirable online.

To be a thriving animator, a portfolio is demanded. This is necessary to be able to have a job as an entry level animator thus some animation school programs tend to be realistic in readying for the real world.
