Are Warhammer Account Holders Getting Addicted To The Game

Submitted by gametag

World of Warcraft is the most popular online role-playing game ever, which has broken all records of all previous online games' popularity. It is a subscription based game and the warhammer account holders have to subscribe to it to play. This game is claimed to have a subscriber base of millions of gamers and have achieved annual sales worth billions of dollars. But this scenario has presented the world with an additional problem. As if the already existing problems were not enough!

The term ‘addiction' so far was mostly used for those hopelessly involved in drugs, alcohol, gambling etc. But the advent of this online game has added its name to the list as well. The success warhammer has achieved has come at a high price. The furor of the compulsive warhammer online account holders has reached a stage where it is hurting them emotionally and physically.

We have prior knowledge that addiction to anything can be dangerous. An addict can get so intertwined in his own world of addiction that he cuts himself off from the real world. The fantasy of this game is making the gamers turn away from the reality. Addiction poses enough problems as it is; kids drop out of school, married couples get divorced. Serious emotional damage and health issues can arise due to it.

Similar addiction in these gamers is happening all around the world, wherever a warhammer account is held. It is now being discussed in media as well. Three categories or levels of addiction can be identified within those holding a warhammer account.

Level 1 - Addiction: Low

Gamers spending 6-8 hours glued to the screens of their computers can be said to have level 1 addiction. They still haven't cut themselves off from the real world and still enjoy human company. But it should be taken note of as these people are probably at a higher risk of becoming addict.

Level 2 - Addiction: Medium
These are gamers who do not only spend 8-12 hours with their warhammer accounts and characters, but also like their fantasy world better than the real one. They have pushed their responsibilities aside and prefer digital company over family and friends.

Level 3 - Addiction: High

At this stage, the gamers' lives revolve around the game, which serves as the core of all life activities for them. They have completely isolated themselves in their world of fantasy and don't want to have anything to do with the outside world at all. These people have become emotionally unstable and are at very high risk for serious health issues.

If you see such gamers around you OR you are one of them, please act now. At a lower addiction level, talking about the problem with family and friends will be able to send some shockwaves of reality to the addict and he may realize his situation. But at a higher addiction level, professional help should be sought.
