Hand held video games

Submitted by delilarjpaulus

Gaming consoles are a hot cake property in today's market. They are not only meant to keep the player busy and entertaining, but newer consoles also have a lesson or two for its younger users. The most important aspect a person looks for in the hand held game console is its portability and usability. The game consoles are popular if they are portable as well as handy to use with effective user interface and easy to view screen (generally larger the better). The recent additions to this industry, the Nintendo Wii, PSP and iphone offer these features.
The DSi gaming console is the most recent addition to the fraternity and it also the best in many respects. Besides its control being easy to use, the DSi remote also gives you access to change the game functions, swap between two games (if your console has multiple options), and place your cursor on the control panel and also to play the game. The remote is very handy and there is an option for you to download newer versions and install them. The fixed panel of the game is the DSi 24 Connect. It remains connected to the internet all day and gives you information about latest updates; newer consoles launched and also let you compete with other players, online.
Another offer in hand held gaming console from Sony is the PSP Go. The company has made the control sleek enough in this to reach the hands of the users. The handheld unit has a sliding 3.8 inch wide LCD screen with controls on the base panel. The game can be connected to the net to download newer games and search for them. The gaming console has an inbuilt flash memory of 16 GB.
Although the X-Box is also quite popular in the fraternity, but owing to the fact that the game is neither portable nor handheld the game is feared to experience a back log in coming times. This becomes a responsibility of the Microsoft corporation to launch a new console that could compete with the above two hand held game consoles in this feature too. Although nothing can be said about it, we only expect for this to happen. IPhone is also what I would like to see in the community and is an up and coming competitor in the hand held gaming market, with recent news that Apple is pushing to have the iphone and itouch more involved in the video game market. The iphone mobile has a many games that can be downloaded at around $1 to 5$ from the itunes store. At this price point it is much more affordable then a PSP or Wii game at about 30$ to 40$ range. Besides, I also expect to see the company in this field as well and excel as it has done in the electronic products fraternity.
