Nintendo DSi Still Unstoppable

Submitted by adamulivi

If you can remember the days where game boy was still the king of handhelds, you can count on Nintendo doing the same thing again with its new revision of their handheld console. The Nintendo DSi seems unstoppable, albeit not being released yet on other parts of the world aside Japan.
nDuring the launch of the DSi in Japan, Nintendo shipped a total of 200,000 units of the new console. Within two days on the store shelves, 170, 779 were gone. With a massive public acceptance of such a great handheld console, the Nintendo DSi has proved to be unstoppable.
nEven with some features of the previous iteration, DS, it still proves to triumph over the competition. Its rival, the Sony PSP has been on a bumpy ride as it has troubles with developers don't want to make games for it due to piracy issues. There is also no denying that the DS was also easily hackable. In short the DS can use third-party carts to play downloaded games, yet still the public wanted a piece of the new hardware regardless of the aforementioned feature.
nThe new Nintendo DSi has some noticeable differences from its past iteration. Aside from the touch screen support of DS consoles, there is now two cameras, in front and in the back. The power switch was also relocated to make it better handling of the console.
nWith accordance to the screen, it has been upsized and added with a quarter of an inch from its past 3 inch size. The screen brightness has now 5 presets compared to the 4 of the DS Lite. Although the battery life was significantly poor which is 9-14 hours compared to the previous 15-19 hours of its past iteration.
nWith coming back to its sales, after a month of being on sale in Japan, it sold half a million units and sold 1.28 million units during its first month according to Enterbrain. With the people in other parts of the world, they can also enjoy the new features of the new and improved DS franchise on April 5, 2009 in North America, April 3, 2009 on Europe and April 2 in Australia.
nThe Nintendo DSi was the product of customer feedbacks. But Masato Kuwahara, the one responsible for the modifications on the new DSi said that it's not easy to make sure that the new features would be accepted by the public. He then made plans for the addition of another camera, slimmer size than the DS Lite and removal of the game boy cartridge slot.
nEven for a more powerful handheld console, the PSP was trailing behind and cannot seem to get a larger market share than what Nintendo has. The main focus of the DSi is to target a wider range of people, making it more possible for non-gamers to snag a new console regardless of experience. With so many games such as Mario Kart, Super Mario DS series, it can always be an enjoyable experience for anyone playing them.

I'm sure you're eager to hear more about the exciting Nintendo DSi. If you haven't played on one yet you can get the next best thing right now by having a look at our website and reading about its features. Then you can imagine playing on s Nintendo DSi.
