Aluminum Laptop Briefcases

Submitted by jbiberdorf

Why would anyone choose an aluminum laptop briefcase instead of a traditional leather briefcase or a soft laptop carrying case? Aside from the fact that they are great looking, aluminum laptop carrying cases are designed specifically for laptop computers. Other briefcases and carrying cases are holdovers from an earlier era and aren't really appropriate for computers.

Open up a standard, traditional briefcase and you'll find a series of folders and compartments for holding papers. On the side, there will also be pouches for pens, business cards and other small items. The traditional briefcase evolved into a brilliant "mobile office" in the pre-computer age. A businessman's briefcase was often his pride and joy and showed the world that he was a professional.

The problem is, when laptops became the businessperson's essential tool, briefcases didn't evolve to accommodate them. They did adapt to them by adding padded sections for the laptop, but that's not the same thing as designing a briefcase from the ground up for the internet age.

Aluminum laptop briefcases have been designed from scratch with the laptop first and foremost in mind. In fact, the designers chose aluminum over leather precisely because it is a more appropriate material for a laptop carrying case. Aluminum is light, yet strong and rigid. This makes it the perfect material for protecting your laptop from the blows it will inevitably be subjected to when you're on a crowded street.

Traditional briefcases are opened from the top while aluminum laptop briefcases open like suitcases, making it much easier to locate and remove your computer and its accessories. Larger models designed for travel or presentations have a place for the laptop and its accessories in the top half of the case, while the bottom half is reserved for documents, clothes and other necessities.

Aluminum laptop briefcases hold the computer, its accessories and all your documents and paraphernalia firmly but gently in place. When you open your case, everything is where you want it to be. Inferior briefcases and cheap, soft shell laptop carrying cases do not hold their contents as securely.

While it is true that you can buy a variety of styles of leather briefcases, they are not designed for specific sizes of laptops. Aluminum laptop briefcases, on the other hand, are designed with specific uses and laptops in mind. You can get anything from a super slim case for your notebook computer to a large rolling laptop carrying case for taking with you on overseas business trips.

These are some of the reasons why aluminum laptop briefcases are so superior to traditional briefcases. As a bonus, they are great looking and show that you are living in the computer age, not the past.
