KVM switches also referred to as keyboard video mouse switch, a device that is used to connect a keyboard, mouse and the monitor to more that one computer. Remote control and access software runs on its embedded processors only but not on mission-critical servers, so that there is no intrusion with server operation or impact on network performance.
