Power Supply Units: ATX12V Compliant ATX was launched by Microsoft in 1995, which overtook AT compliant as a form factor to provide universal design specification for motherboard and power supply units. Later, ATX12V compliant was launched to refurbish power supply units in relation to dynamic power requirements. ATX12V compliant considers extensive power usage owing to heavy processors, PCI Express bus and graphic card interface.
