Quit Changing Games: Xbox 360 Burning

Submitted by markgavalda

We have all gone through this at one time or another. There is typically that game, that UNIQUE game, we all keep. The one we fed the console every day and looked forward to returning to when we finished. The one we in fact, genuinely could not stop playing. Until one day, due to disk deterioration, it was no longer playable. For some it was Halo 3, for others Dead Rising.

I had one myself and it was Oblivion. I devoted hours doing every side quest, retouching my character. Imagine my astonishment when, as I reached the final stage of an extended quest line, the game became unusable: dialogue stopped my console started to buzz loudly and the game locked up. Regarless what I did I was uncapable to get past that certain point in the game. Taking out the disk from the tray, I saw nil intrinsically wrong with it. Upon closer examination, however, there was a small mark in a key region. We have all gone through this, and I made my option: caught between the devil and the deep blue sea I opted to replace a videogame I had already bought.

This need not have occurred to me and it need not befall anyone else. Creating backups is a legitimate solution and Xbox 360 burning is comparatively easy. With nothing more than a software package we can make replicas of our legitimate bought games to make sure they always remain playable and that our considerable investment does not vanish. Scratches are impossible to prevent from happening as they can originate from anywhere: children, pets, faulty packaging, accidents and not just this but also the system tray appertaining to the consoles themselves. Through the Xbox 360 burning software, however, we can protect our easily damaged game disks by creating copies we can employ in their stead while our originals remain safe and sound.
