Another interesting application of the homebrew software is the NDS Mail which is an email feature supporting SSL. The DS picks up the WIFI signals and helps you to read your emails. The new NDSMail v0.56a, supports for ISO-8859 mails, has a fixed keyboard, uses latest libnds/dswifi/libfat, and has some miscellaneous fixes. This application has 2 versions. The first one is unpatched which patches with the kind of card you want to use. The other is the R4DS specific version which is becoming the preferential choice among the users.

The homebrew software includes some of the best games that is loved by all. The most favorite is the Warcraft Tower Defense which has a custom map for Warcraft 3 on the PC. The game is to build towers that kill the waves of creatures who walk along a pre-determined path. If the towers are not built efficiently, some of the creature would get through and take away from your lives. The idea is to create a gauntlet to kill enemy units as they pass through.

Twin Isles is another interesting game for the Nintendo DS. It is one of the most commercial types of game with hi-tech clarity in graphics and sound effects that is found in the homebrew community so far. There is a tech tree, background music and in built game tips which can be disabled as required. Some interesting features of this game are: the free play mode, Scenarios where you have to complete a specific task, a nice menu system with options to turn off music, save your replay option where you can watch your game as it can be saved.

DScent is the Nintendo DS version of Descent. The sounds and music are good with smooth frame rates. The buttons can be used for full control, or the directional pad for moving can be used and the touchscreen to turn. Controls can be configured as you want them to be, although shooting is trigger based.

Another exciting and fun filled game is the "A Touch of War" designed for the Nintendo DS version. This game is a real-time strategy game. AmplituDS is another cool game that involves soothing music and timing your button presses and movements to hit targets on the screen. The more successful hitting of targets turns on the music tracks for a time and increases your score.

The homebrew software is an added advantage when it comes to online gaming. The Nintendo homebrew software and it applications helps you to enjoy your time with loads of games -all in one.

Happy Gaming!!
