Registry Cleaner Popup And how To Remove ItSubmitted by jasonwebber@zanters.com Tue, 3 Nov 2009
Here we are, surfing the web, going about our merry way, and suddenly, an alarming popup error appears. As we read what the popup says, our minds become alarmed and we wonder if our computer system has been damaged. Yes, it's very likely that you've seen the infamous registry cleaner popup at some point in time.
Try as we may, it's very hard to get rid of the popup. Periodically, it just shows up again and again to frighten us. The thing is, at some point in time when we surf the net, a script got processed by the web browser and it plants itself into our computer. With dire warnings that inform us about how corrupted our Windows registry is and how the computer may explode (ok, I'm exaggerating) if we ignore the warning, it's no wonder many people fall prey to the fear and click on the popup to get a "solution". But fret not, in fact this is usually a false warning and is there to prey on people's fears. You should use a good anti-virus program to clean your system of this adware. Also, be careful when surfing the web, and do not run anything that gets downloaded without first scanning it with the anti-virus program. However, it is essential to preserve the health of the Windows registry. As we use the computer, Windows add (and seldom removes) information into the registry. As you can imagine, the registry bloats up and contains lots of obsolete data. After a while, the system performance degrades and errors may start to show up. It is therefore important to use a registry cleaner software to maintain the health of the registry. Done proactively, and not in response to a dire warning popup, it can prevent the multitude of registry-related problems that commonly occur. But there are many registry cleaners available in the market, so it's important to choose a good one for your system.
A good registry cleaner will help keep your Windows system in good shape and performing optimally. If you are unsure which registry cleaner to use, you can take a look at these reviews of registry cleaners. You can also read about slow system performance and what you can do to improve it.
