I am no computer genius, but I am no computer illiterate either. I reside somewhere in between, in the domain of average users. It has a buffer memory of 2MB with buffer under run prevention technology.

So far, it has been servicing me well and has been keeping to the promise of its features. I've been burning mp3s and loads of home videos with no deficiency in terms of quality and durability at all. The next item I'm planning to purchase is a dvd writer drive. I could have bought a combo, but I opted not to since I don't have that much need yet on copying data and videos in dvd format. But if ever the need suddenly arises, the Sony DRU-810A will be the one. It premieres speed and quality with its 8x DVD+R DL speed. The DRU-810A can burn 7.9 GB in only 15 minutes when using a 2.4x DVD+DL media. This is a faster rate than its leading competitor. Now that's a sure good find.

My orientation to CD burning and DVD burning may be too late for others, but given the even playing field in the world of information technology nowadays, it's not impossible anymore to hurry and catch up. In the coming days, I plan to further update myself with the latest and coolest stuff there are for my computer.
