A scrape is commonplace. A scrapeis survivable. A music CD will many times play without failure although it has been scrape to an inch of its life. A film DVD will normally play to perfection under the same conditions or, if worst comes to worst, will only have problems playing a certain chapter. Xbox 360 gaming discs, however, are so concentrated with information that no scrape on them is ever merely a scrape. The wrong scratch in the wrong place can turn an entire game unplayable irrespective of how extensive and visible it may be. There are no sections to be bypassed, no tools of the trade to be employed. When a game has become damaged there is little choice but to replace it or to give it up entirely.

Given their fragility and their exorbitant selling price it is very important for gamers to preserve their discs. Sure, we do what we can with treating them with safeguard and keeping them in safe locations but so much is beyond our control that we can never be truly certain they will not get damaged. All it takes is one small mishap, after all. The only really safe way to preserve our games is to produce Xbox 360 backups of them.

A backup is merely a double of a game. It is one hundred percent legal as long as we are the sole proprietors of the game we are duplicating. By utilizing this copy instead of the original game disc we preserve it from potential damage and certify that it will continue playable for the length of time we need it to. Producing Xbox 360 backups is as uncomplicated as downloading a specific software and following its direct instructions. Today it is no longer even mandatory to install a mod chip.
