After almost 50 years, this hit teenage musical comedy returns to Broadway, with a new cast and a new theatre. Yes this is definitely a must see, especially if you missed it the first time round.

Set in the small town of Sweet Apple Ohio, the lives of a group of teenagers are turned upside down when one of their group decides to draft into the American army. The original play was called "Let's Go Steady". The comedy is based on a book by Michael Stewart. The inspiration for this musical was Elvis Presley, the rock and roll icon's 1950's draft into the US army. The title character's name is based on one of his rivals, Conway Twitty. The original musical staged over 600 performances and was also produced for the London stage for a brief time. The first attempt to revive the musical lasted only 4 performances.

There is also a TV movie and a film inspired by the musical starring some of the original cast.

The musical features some of the most well known songs in theatre history and the movie has been voted by Entertainment Weekly as one of the top 50 best teenage movies of all times. The original musical has also been nominated for and won several Tony awards in the categories of best musical, best actor in a musical, best actress in a musical, and best choreographer/director in a musical.

The current revival of Bye Bye Birdie is being staged by the Roundabout Theatre Company at Henry Miller's theatre on 43rd street. This is a limited-run production and will run only till April 25, 2010. Tickets are available for 7 or 8pm shows from Tuesday to Saturday. There is an additional 2 pm show on Wednesday and Saturday and a single 2 pm show on Sunday.

The musical runs for 2 hours and 30 minutes with an intermission in between. John Stamos stars as Albert Paterson, Gina Gershon as Rosia, and Nolan Funk as Conrad Birdie. The popular songs from the original are back with hits like 'Put on a happy face', 'Kids', and 'A lot of Livin' to do'.

This is a great family show as it was originally written for the teenage set in the 1950s. There is not a bad word to be heard, additionally the humour is very tame and will have the 'tweens' in your life rolling in their seats.

Critics have published great comments about the musical and time is running out for you and your family to see the show. This is a great weekend treat for the family during the holiday season. It is a far cry from the movies being aired nowadays.

Your best bet to purchase tickets is through an online retailer since they offer the best choice of dates and seating. There are also some great and very competitive deals to be availed of online, and you can save yourself the bother of having to pick up the tickets as most retailers will be able to get them delivered to you.

--
The author writes articles about entertainment including reviews and advice for purchasing Bye Bye Birdie Tickets Resources through many different sources.
Many who follow Broadway are sure to have heard the news of Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig meeting on the stage this fall for "A Steady Rain". Many probably have heard all the wonderful reviews and buzz for this new dramatic play also. Well rest assured all you have heard is true, the two actors best known for their "on screen" performances have brought their talents to the Great White Way and then some. For anyone who loves a good police or crime drama then this is the show for you.

Keith Huff has written the story about two childhood friends in their mid years. Not only are they long time friends but also share the same career path as Chicago police officers. The story goes on the explain just how different the two are in personality now. For example, Denny's character enjoys the family life, owning a home and taking care of his children. Joey could not be more different as he remains single and more or less alone. He is still out drinking in excess and hasn't grown up into maturity quite as well. Huff's story moves beyond the traits of the characters and into the plot of A Steady Rain.

The plot really picks up steam with the introduction of an occurrence that both men shared. Denny and Joey each tell their very different accounts of what occurred on the streets of Chicago one evening as they ran into a dangerous serial killer. The story moves on to tell each of the character's accounts of that night while pushing not only the boundaries of their friendship but also their loyalty to each other.

A Steady Rain does not give much to the ways of "eye candy", the show does not boast huge and extravagant Broadway production values. It remains true to its storyline and uses not much else than Jackman and Craig to deliver the outstanding dialogue which they do in spades. The stage has not much more than a couple of wooden police style chairs and some integration style police lighting. It is not for any high production or set design that has been drawing audiences to the play each night but rather to see two great actors play out a fantastic story and screen play. So much so that "A Steady Rain" did bring in a gross of 1,167,954 dollars its first week on Broadway. This set a record for highest grossing week by a non-musical Broadway production.

While many will likely pass on A Steady Rain to take in the many musicals on Broadway, which bring out all the bells and whistles for those looking to get away from such and catch a great play then this is the one to catch. With two huge names in cinema on the stage, a wonderful story built around intriguing dialogue and drama, which brings you right in while never letting go, it would be a shame to pass up. Put all that besides extremely positive reviews from New York City's toughest critics and audiences and you are sure to not be disappointed.

--
The author of this review focuses on writing entertainment articles for many different events inluding information on Locating A Steady Rain Resources for the latest popular tour.
9 to 5 is a Broadway musical that brings together a huge audience. Broadway is very self-explanatory when it comes to the terminology of entertainment and joy one feels. It is a wide street in New York that is extremely well-known for providing live entertainment to both tourists and locals alike. There are only four physical theaters located on Broadway.

Burlesque and vaudeville are also different types of live entertainment, but Broadway is the most popular of them all. With an orchestra playing during intermission and while guests arrive, there is no doubt that all this jazz will be around for a long time to come.

The 9 to 5 Broadway musical is a show that portrays the women at top! The music and lyrics are all written by Dolly Parton, and it is hilariously wonderful! Parton was a star in the 1980's movie, and now 9 to 5 is on Broadway.

Doralee Rhodes is a character in the play that sings her tune about being a "Backwoods Barbie." Her boss, Franklin Hart Jr., is absolutely in love with her despite the fact that they are both married. Doralee is disgusted throughout the whole musical with Hart, and she gets really mad when she finds out that he has been telling the whole office about a relationship he thinks they have. The role is played by Megan Hilty, and she does a phenomenal job transforming into her very own Dolly Parton.

Violet, played by Allison Janney, is a high class, smart woman. She is the brains of the musical 9 to 5 on Broadway. Stephanie J. Block plays the newbie at the company, Judy Bernly. Her character is trained by Violet at the beginning of the musical. Throughout the musical, the three leading ladies show their "chick power" and the hold it has over the character of Franklin Hart, Jr.

The musical 9 to 5 on Broadway is being shown at the Marquis Theatre at specific times. There are no shows on Mondays, but Tuesday through Saturday there is a performance at 8 PM. Also, there is a matinee showing Wednesday and Saturday at 2 PM and Sunday at 3 PM.

The last showing of the musical is on September 6, so if you want tickets, they can be easily bought online. The musical typically runs two hours and thirty minutes.

The LA Times critic really enjoyed the show, but said that one of the big disappointments is "the storytelling proves to be the major flaw." It was also mentioned that the first act may have been a little bit longer than normal, but overall it was an okay performance.

If you happen to be in the New York area, and you want to go to see a great musical, then the 9 to 5 Broadway show is the one to really go for. Between Doralee, Judy, and Violet despising their boss and tying him up, the musical is full of laughs and joyous entertainment that will have you on the edge of your seat!

--
The author of this review focuses on writing entertainment articles for many different events inluding information on Locating 9 To 5 The Broadway Musical Resources for the latest popular tour.
Green Day concerts highlight the band's punk roots. This Northern California punk band has been around for over twenty years. The first two members, lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong and bass player Mike Dirnt, were only 14 when they first started playing together. Later when they added their first drummer, Al Sobrante, they became Green Day. Sobrante was later replaced and the current line up includes Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and drummer Tre Cool. The three of them have been together ever since, bringing hard hitting punk music to their fans.

The band achieved underground success in the early nineties in California. However, it was the release of their third album "Dookie" in the spring of 1994 that put them on the airwaves in mainstream rock. Their appearance a few months later at Woodstock '94 put them on the map. This performance concluded with the band and audience engaging in a huge mud fight. This mud fight made news and is often the image that comes to mind when people think of Woodstock '94. Their concerts continue to be spontaneous eruptions between the band and audience. Many fans say Armstrong is at his best in front of a live audience.

Till date, Green Day has released eight studio albums. Their latest album, 21st Century Breakdown, hit number 1 in May 2009. They also have one album which has inspired a rock opera. American Idiot Musical is bringing many Green Day songs before a live audience in theater form. Many of their hit songs including 21 guns, Good Riddance, Know Your Enemy, When I Come Around, Wake Me Up When September Ends, and Basket Case still continue to top the download charts. They have won three Grammys and have sold over 22 million records.

They performed many concerts last summer and are set to tour overseas now.
Green Day cites many classic and little known punk bands as their main influences. Some of these influences include the Buzzcocks, The Clash, The Jam, The Sex Pistols, The Who, and the Ramones. The influence these bands have had on Green Day is evident in their concerts. They are fast paced and have in-your-face style deliveries. Their performances mainly focus on the music but also tell a story. Green Day does not add a lot of theatrics to their shows. They let their lyrics tell the story.

Having the chance to see Green Day live can be a reality now. In order to get tickets turn to a reputable source. Authorized brokers can give you various options for seating and price. Having a broker who can deliver tickets to your home is your safest bet. You might also want to use a credit card to protect your purchase. You should use a site you trust and look for tickets which fit your budget. While concerts can be a very expensive investment, there are usually seating options that every budget can afford. To many fans, securing great seats to see their favorite bands early is a worthwhile investment. Taking these simple steps to secure legitimate tickets will enhance your enjoyment and make your experience hassle free.

--
Al enjoys to write online entertainment reviews which include Tips For Getting Tickets For Green Day for fans.
The A Steady Rain New York dramatic play has become one of the most desired Broadway tickets recently. It is no wonder with the two huge names that the production brings for its main actors, First there is Hugh Jackman, who is well known both on the screen as well as the stage. Then there is Daniel Craig most notably known for being the newest James Bond character as well as the role in "Flashbacks Of A Fool". Alongside some great critical reviews and buzz from audiences who have seen the show the play is quickly becoming one of the most popular shows playing in New York City.

The play found its home on Broadway at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre and opened on September 29, 2009. A Steady Rain New York will be running as a limited engagement set to close on December 6, 2009. Average ticket costs for the show are running about $90.00 but decent seats can be had for about $66.00 so long as the show time is not sold out, if so then expect to pay the top dollar for this very in demand play.

The Story

For those who enjoy police and crime drama or any types of a dramatic storyline than A Steady Rain New York will be high on the list of shows to see. For Broadway, there are not the stunning production credits that most shows become known for such as Wicked or the Lion King. What the show does have is some amazing dialogue, which is sure to quickly capture and draw you right into the interesting situation of the characters. As for the props, there is really nothing more than a couple wooden chairs and a police integration setting but dazzling set design is not what this show is about. If looking for Broadway's bells and whistle then perhaps look elsewhere but if looking for one of the best great acting aside an amazing story amplified by wonderful dialogue and drama than this show is not to be missed.

The story tells of two lives long friends who also work on the Chicago beat as policemen. Both characters are drastically different at the current stage of their lives. While Denny has moved on into his adult life of having a home and family Joey continues more of a bachelors' life living alone and drinking somewhat heavily. The play moves on with both Denny and Joey telling their accounts of what occurred one evening as they had an encounter with a dangerous serial killer on the streets of the Windy City. The accounts of what had occurred differs between both characters.

While A Steady Rain New York is fresh to Broadway, in 2006 it was first produced at New York Stage and Film's Powerhouse Theater. In 2007 it enjoyed the first World Premier at Chicago Dramatists and by February 2008 found its home at Chicago's Royal George Theatre. The play went on to win the Best New Work and Best Production of the Jefferson Awards .The Broadway version has been able to land Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig most noted for their Silver Screen roles but creating a big draw to the show for many.

A Steady Rain New York is a wonderful and engaging Broadway experience. It offers great dialogue and characters acted brilliantly by Jackman and Craig. The crime drama genre may not appeal to everyone, especially when thinking of a Broadway production where the big musicals have become the trend this play is sure to provide memorable entertainment for all who venture into the city to catch it. Audiences have been raving about it and critic's reviews have been extremely positive. If heading into New York City be sure to add A Steady Rain to your "to do list"!

--
Al enjoys to write online entertainment reviews which include Tips For Getting A Steady Rain New York Tickets for fans.
Well know screen actor Hugh Jackman returns to the stage to bring to life this gripping new American play, which is getting much attention as of late as A Steady Rain tickets are in demand. It helps to have Daniel Craig right in the mix, well known today for his role as the latest James Bond. This dramatic style Broadway play found its home at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre where it opened to rave reviews on September 29, 2009.

A Steady Rain center around a couple of lifelong friends from the great city of Chicago. They are both policemen as well and the story gets involved as is explaining the two different accounts each has for a day which changed and altered their lives. The two characters, Denny and Joey could not be more different when looking in. Denny has the typical perfect life with his home, wife and children and seems very content. Joey, on the other hand, remains single, stays alone and spends free time drinking in excess. Not only are the two characters quite different but their accounts of one disturbing evening on working at the city beat differs as well. The play moves through it's storyline telling each other's accounts of what happened when they had an encounter with a serial killer and goes on to explain how it directly affected their relationship and loyalty. This tension between the characters as well as the big Hollywood names playing them has made A Steady Rain tickets for Broadway much sought after.

If looking for big Broadway production values than perhaps A Steady Rain tickets are not for you. This play does not boast much in the way of scenery and instead works from its strong dialogue and characters. The entire play consists of not much more than the two main characters, a couple of chairs and the classic lightings used for a classic interrogation. Do not look at this as a
downfall of the production as the two actors, script and atmosphere draw you right into the story and never let's go.

A Steady Rain tickets were getting buzz and attention well before the play opened on Broadway. The two huge names, Jackman and Craig, put all eyes on the show when it was announced it would head to the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre. Since its opening back in September it has received great reviews from leading and respected critics in and around New York City. The show also has won over audiences with its intriguing character study. As far as credits the Broadway show was written by Keith Huff and has Tony Award nominee John Crowley as the director.

A Steady Rain is a must see Broadway play but especially for anyone who loves the drama and police/crime genre. The production does not carry with it over the top production values many might expect from Broadway but does carry with it two huge names from the screen and stage. Along side a great storyline which focuses strongly on dialogue it becomes difficult not to get drawn right in. A Steady Rain tickets can be had for between $66.50 and $130.00 directly from the box office. This play is quite popular and is running as limited engagement, which is set to close December 6, 2009 and creating high demand. Make sure to call ahead and be early when looking forward to securing tickets for this wonderful dramatic play.

--
Al is the webmaster for a New York City entertainment site which writes reviews and content about every show in the city including Great Ways To Get A Steady Rain Tickets to a performance.
Ever since online bingo became a popular worldwide pastime, hundreds of online casinos and online gaming sites have started offering the game. Having so many choices can make choosing an online bingo site confusing. How can you decide which site is best for you? When it comes down to it, most online bingo sites use very similar software. Of course there will be differences in design and layout on each site, but once you play on a few sites you will realize that many sites function in essentially the same way. Since software and functionality aren't really defining factors in what makes one bingo site better than another, you should look at a site's promotions, bonuses, and social benefits. These are the things that set some bingo sites above others.

Everyone loves to get something for free, and the sites that offer a free trial game or trial deposit are going to be more popular than the sites that don't. Some sites even offer to match your first and second deposits, so you will have up to double the money to play. And even though most bingo sites have forums and chat rooms where players can socialise, some are much more lively than others. You will also probably want to choose a site that offers Flash or Java play, rather than requiring you to download software. This will allow you to just log in to the site and play within your browser without a hassle. Another aspect to look into is a site's loyalty program. Does the site offer monetary bonuses or prizes to those players who game often? Several sites have generous loyalty reward programs for frequent players. Why join a site that doesn't offer this when you can join one that does? These loyalty programs are free to join. The best way to figure out the best site for you is to try a few and to give each one a fair chance. And remember that most of these sites offer not only online bingo but other games as well like slots and video poker. Every gamer is different, and only by getting out there and playing can you discover the site that will become your favourite.

--
Make sure you find the best online bingo site to use with Gaming Supermarket - here you can compare all the best bingo sites on the web and see what all the best jackpots and bonuses are.
.Some Things to Remember When Betting on Horses

If you are an avid punter who bets on horses, you know there is a lot involved in the sport of horse racing. Some punters have very strategic systems and seem to have their betting down to a science. You don't have to memorise a bunch of statistics and records to be decent at horse betting. Here are a few tips, though, that when followed will up your performance as a punter and will help to put more money in your pocket.

One thing that most punters don't do is to look at the trainers. Every racehorse out there has a trainer that has made it the high-performance animal it has become. The fact of the matter is that some trainers are preferable to other trainers. How do you know if a horse has a great trainer? Look up the win ratios for each trainer and choose horses whose trainers have more wins than others. This will help you outperform the other punters and find some hidden gems that others will overlook.

Please remember this bit of advice if you forget everything else - you do not have to bet on every single race! In fact, please don't. The thing that distinguishes the professional punters from the amateurs is restraint and discipline. If you don't know enough about the horses in a race, hold off and wait for the next race. Betting off-the-cuff can be fun but will also leave you with an empty bank account in no time.

Even if you don't know it, you have a betting system. It may not be the best or most organised system, but you have a way you bet that you believe will win you money.
The game of roulette has many legends surrounding it that it can often make it difficult to ascertain which are not true and which are facts. Some things regarding the invention of the game still remain unclear. However, there are many known facts that one can piece together to learn about the history of this exciting casino game.

Many historians give credit for the invention of the game to Blaise Pascal, a French mathematician. During the 1600's, Pascal did extensive studies of the idea of perpetual motion. His experiments and dabbling in this area led him to create what many tout as the first Roulette table. The word, roulette, is in fact from the French. The word means small wheels in French. This is yet another clue pointing to its French origins.

Hundreds of years later, the first real modern roulette table was created. The designers were two French brothers named Louis and Francois Blanc. The roulette table created by the Blancs featured only one single zero. Their roulette wheel is still used today in European Roulette games. The invention was not used in France. At the time of its creation, gambling was illegal in France. Instead it was other countries or Europe and the United States that first used the new roulette table. In fact, in the United States, it became so popular that many dubbed roulette the "King" of all casino games. Roulette was often equated with wealth and usually was played only by the wealthier members of society.
The next major change in the game of roulette occurred many, many years later when the game was incorporated with internet technology. Online casinos began going online and offering the same games once could find in a land based casino. This increased the world's access to casino games. Roulette was one of these games that found its way to the internet and online casinos. The form of the game still looks very much like the earlier versions of the game. Many regard this as one of the many examples of how this game has survived the ages. No doubt, this game will be around for many more years!

--
Why not try your luck with a great game of online roulette.
