After all, it is not exactly something one can find inside a lecture hall. More likely, it is present in weekend night parties, the perfect way to cope with the stress of term papers and finals. A beer bong is an instrument made up of a long funnel which is attached to a container. It is considered a must for great parties since it can be used for drinking games, the most popular being funneling. Of course, like any other games, participants should be two or more. Whoever gets to drink the biggest amount of liquid from the beer bong wins. While it is typical to use beer for such game, it is not a requirement. Depending on the mood or the resources at hand, any liquid or beverage can be used.

If the beer bong includes a valve at the funnel's drinking end, it can be filled with liquid before the actual game begins. However, if the beer bong does not have a valve, the contestants should take place before the game starts. The player will assume the position and keep the liquid in place with the tip of his or her tongue. Naturally, the beer bong is placed above the players. The gravity plays an essential role in driving the liquid through the piping of the funnel then into the mouth of the anticipating participant.

Once the designated timekeeper signals the beginning of the game, the contestants start drinking the beer or whatever is the liquid of choice. Since the beer bong is continually filled throughout the game, players should be able to swallow the liquid as quickly as possible. If a participant is incapable of swallowing the liquid faster, it will lead to liquid overflowing out of his or her mouth. Any spill or overflow results into a loss. If all competitors were able to drink all the contents of the beer bong without any accidents, automatically, whoever finishes first wins the game.

It sure is fun to have a beer bong in keg parties, clubs, and pubs. Be warned though that it should not be something to get used to. Enjoying a beer bong every day can definitely have a serious effect to your body. The fast ingestion of alcohol can lead to failure of some body organs to function properly.
