A casino is facing a new challenge after it was forced to accept a proposed rise in utility prices. The casino, is faced with its bills for its water and sewer systems doubling in the very near future. An increase in the bills such as this is likely to be very difficult for the casino to face, especially as it is footing the bill for the whole town of Biloxi. The residents of the town are not being required to pay anything, as the casino is being lumped with it all.

The officials in charge of running the casino are protesting the move, saying that it is unfair. They are also pointing out that they will find it extremely hard to stay open with their increased bills, and that the other services that the casino offers will have to be stopped. The rest of their expenditures will have to be cut, in order that the casino will be able to cope with this new set of bills. There is now question of whether the casino will be able to stay open, as they may have to start charging their customers more for entry. This is obviously likely to have an adverse affect on their customer numbers, as they may turn to other casinos that are not as expensive to be part of.

The casino officials are fighting the proposed changes, however, and have spent a number of weeks writing letters to the law makers in Missouri in an attempt to overturn the plan. In the letters, a number of alternatives were suggested that would mean the casino would not have to foot the entire utilities bill itself. One of the suggestions was that the residents of the town of Biloxi could pay for the water and sewer services, because if they did the cost would be spread so thinly that it would probably not be noticed. The Biloxi council has agreed to consider the suggestions that the casino bosses have proposed, but a final decision has yet to be reached.

There are a number of laws that affect both casinos and online casinos. Despite this the number of online casino websites have increased.
