Baccarat
Baccarat is one of several online casino gambling games and is a game of cards originally introduced in France from Italy in the 15th century. The game is simple with three possibilities 'Player', 'Banker' and 'Tie'. The terms do not have the same meaning, but are just options for the customers to bet on. There are mainly three kinds of Baccarat games: “Baccarat chemin de fer”, “Baccarat Banque” and “Punto banco”. In Punto banco, which is a North American adaption of Baccarat, no skill is required. It’s a game of chance, but in the other two games both wagers can make choices and this requires skill.

The Game
In this game 2-9 cards are worth their face value, whereas 10, J, Q and K have zero value. An Ace is considered as having one point. Players add up all the cards and forgets about the 10th digit while calculating their scores. For instance, if a player receives 5 and 4 his score will be 9 (5+4=9), however, if he gets 7 and 5 his score will be 2 (7+5=12-10=2). This is because if the total is more than 10 and if he gets 3 and 7 then his score will be 0 (3+7=10 - 10=0). For a point total of 24, your score would be 4. Basically you take the rightmost digit as your total point value.

In this game, the cards are first dealt face-down to the players and then to the banker. This process is repeated again for two cards each during the initial round. The cards are then turned over and the dealer counts the points announcing the total points secured by each player. If anyone of the players or the banker gets 8 or 9 in the initial rounds, no more cards will be dealt and the highest scorer will win the game. Otherwise, the game continues in the following manner.

Each player will draw one card if he has 0-5 in the initial round or stands if he has 6 or 7. The banker will draw depending upon his hand or if the player drew and what card the player drew.
Every step is taken accordingly and the dealer then decides it pro rata on the cards drawn and stood over based on which the winner is announced. As per rules, the winner is paid and the losers forfeit their bet.

Payment
In such a situation five per cent commission is paid to the house, 95 per cent to the banker and the player usually gets money or 1-1 “commission Baccarat”. However, in some situations casinos pay even money or 1-1 both to the player and the banker excluding at times when the banker wins with 6. In such circumstances the banker is paid 50 per cent of the bet complying with the original. The house edge and ties implies same as commission Baccarat where as the house edge on the bankers bet is 1.46 per cent. On completion of the rounds if the value of both the banker and the players are same then it’s a tie.

And ties are paid 8 to 1 odds. The game is usually played on an oval table involving a croupier, or dealer, and it also involves two more people tallying bet amounts and commissions. There are usually 6 to 8 decks of cards used by the dealer. These types of games implement on big bet amounts, so in cities like Las Vegas and Atlantic City these games are played in private rooms.

Baccarat Chemin de fer
The game is a derivation and is played with 6 pack full of cards shuffled together at the center of the table a basket for the used cards is kept and questions arising relating to the position of the players is decided by the lot. In the process whichever player draws his seat sits next to the croupier and the rest follows. The shuffling of the card is first done by the croupier and then by the players starting from their left who cuts.

Baccarat Banque
The basic difference between Baccarat Chemin de fer and Baccarat banque is primarily related to the banker, where the banker makes his position a bit more permanent. There are usually 3 packs of cards used in the game (though the number is not prefixed, it could increase to 4 packs too). The game also features the banker to stay until his finances are maintained or the cards are not yet dealt with.
