Winning on the bingo is usually an exiting event for anyone. The thrill of playing the game, and the possibility that they might win a large amount of money, is what brings most players back to the popular bingo gaming sites again and again. However, an argument has now arisen over who is the rightful owner of a small fortune, after one such big win.

This win, at one of Mecca Bingo's land based bingo halls, saw a female pensioner win the prize. She was then awarded one million pounds, but it is here that the dispute lies -three of her close family members have said that they had a deal, which meant that they would split the money four ways if any of them ever won on the bingo. However, the woman who won is now refusing to give away any of her winnings, and there is no concrete proof that there ever was an agreement to split the money.

The money was won at the Mecca Bingo hall in Forge, in Glasgow. After the player scooped the prize, she and her three family members celebrated with champagne. This was before it was revealed that the money would not be split up between the family. The winner had allegedly made the deal with her sister, and two of her sisters in law. Of the women's husbands, three are brothers.

The results of the dispute are clearly not what the Mecca Bingo brand would have wanted when it awarded the one million pound prize money. The families are now not talking to each other, and there has been talk of a court battle in order to see that the other three women get the money that they think is rightfully theirs. However, it would have cost them up to two hundred thousand pounds each in legal fees to fight the case -and seen as this is almost the same amount that they would have won there would have been little point. The four women have now decided that they will settle the dispute out of court.

Sometimes the best way to avoid disputes like this is to play bingo alone, such as with online bingo. If you choose to do so, you can find the best available deals at Gaming Supermarket Bingo.
