Is UIGEA The End of Online Gambling In The USASubmitted by tryme1 Sun, 16 Aug 2009
UIGEA (The Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act) was brought in, somewhat under the radar, by the Bush administration in an attempt to make internet gambling illegal for US citizens. The problem is : it's flawed and it failed.
Online gaming in the United States is alive and well. While there is a more limited selection of casinos, poker rooms and bingo halls that US players can frequent, there are still plenty of reputable and safe online gaming sites to keep everyone happy and gambling. Furthermore, there are hopes that UIGEA will be overturned with Senator Barney Franks leading the attempt at overturning this legislation. Barney Franks Bill has been getting more and more exposure and new US Senators are joining in the fight everyday, which helps the odds of this bill passing the house and opening the doors to online gaming sites once again in the US. But while we are waiting for the tides to change, there are still plenty of good and reputable casinos out there to enjoy. One such casino is the extremely popular Rushmore casino. Running on Real Time Gaming Software, Rushmore Casino has become one of the top online casinos accepting players from the USA. They just don't accept US players, they thrive on them! With hundreds of dollars in signup bonuses and a constant stream of promotions and tournaments aimed at keeping their online gamblers happy and content, Rushmore Casino is not letting the UIGEA bill deflect them from making a name for themselves in the United States and becoming an outstanding online casino. Another great online casino that has not let the ridiculous UIGEA bill stop them from accepting US players is Inetbet Casino. One of the oldest in the industry of online gaming, with an untouchable reputation of customer satisfaction and safe gaming, US players can not go wrong playing at this reputable and long established casino. Giving online gamblers exactly what they want, when they want it, Inetbet delivers all the new and best games and bonuses to keep their players happy and referring friends to their gaming establishment. Some of the most missed gaming software that left the US when the UIGEA bill was passed include one of the biggest gaming platforms in online gaming, Microgaming has not accepted any new US players in over a year, and they are sorely missed by many and hopefully will return to the market when the UIGEA bill is overturned. Another software that has been MIA since the UIGEA bill was passed is software great Playtech. One of the oldest and biggest gaming platforms in the gaming industry, Playtech casinos are just waiting for the change in laws over here in the US, so they may re-enter the gaming market and become a fan favorite once again. But with that said, there are still many, many great casinos around for the US players to join and hundreds of games to enjoy. Some of the best gaming providers, including Rival Software, RTG Software, Top Game and Wizard Gaming, all accept USA players. The all still give great bonuses for signing up, they have regular tournaments and new games introduced all the time to keep their casinos fresh and new for all online gamblers to enjoy.
