I don’t believe in luck specially Lucky Lotteries. I personally do not see what luck has to do with anything.

If you win a lottery it does not have anything to do with luck you just happened to have picked the winning numbers. The balls just happen to be the ones that fell into the slots, so where’s the luck in that? You won by chance and if anyone tells you it was because there are lucky lotteries out there and you just happened to be one of the lucky ones then they are a duffer.

Lotteries are games of chance. You picks your numbers and takes your chance that the balls will roll your way.

If there are lucky lotteries why are there all these systems and software gizmos out there that will select just the right numbers for you if winning the lottery was pure luck.

I have looked at some of these gizmos that are supposed to tell you what numbers are favoured and which are not. Then there are the odds.

What odds, 22 million to one on winning the jackpot in a 39 ball lottery selecting 5 numbers and a bonus ball WOW! I guess you have to be lucky to get that one.

Do you know that the odds of being murdered is about 45,000 to one. I guess I wouldn’t want to be lucky there.

But there are lots of lotteries out there, specially the online ones that use different methods to draw the numbers and the quantity to draw. One I know actually only uses 6 digits and does not even draw the numbers out of a drum. They use the stock market indices to select the numbers. As they only need to draw six numbers they use the last digit before the decimal point of 6 European country stock markets at a set time and date for the numbers.

Now this is a neat way, doesn’t cost anything to draw the numbers so more money to the pool. It also makes it un-cheatable because no-one can rig the indices. This is important if you play online lotteries like I do, makes it completely transparent. Gad you only have to jump on the internet to check the stock market indices for that day.

Being only 6 numbers makes the odds of winning much more achievable. As a matter of fact I worked them out and it gives winnings for 6, 5, 4 and 3 numbers. Here are the odds:

5 numbers and one bonus number = 1,110,110 to 1
5 numbers = 111,110 to 1
4 numbers = 11,110 to 1
3 numbers = 1,110 to 1

It certainly gives more chances to win (note I didn’t say lucky chances) and win more often.

The jackpot is not as high as the big ones but what the heck I prefer better chances of winning rather than never chances of winning. Anyway statistically most of those big multimillion winners are broke within one or two years. Could not handle it. Can’t understand it either. If you just stuck $50 million in the bank at 5% you would earn over $200K a month you would even find that hard to spend.

Well what would you prefer more chances of winning more often or rather these lucky lotteries hoping that luck will get you a win. My blog at NSW Lotteries will tell you more.
