It has always been found that somebody has to take the initiative to start something big and new. Some years ago, who would have thought of watching Poker events on TV? The television show was aired on the Travel Channel of the American cable television. The same channel was given authorization to air the next four seasons of the WPT and it did it successfully. After having been aired for 5 seasons on the Travel Channel the program's sixth season moved to GSN for a single season. Now, the seventh season of this event will be aired on the Fox Sports Net, as announced by the WPTE in July, 2008. With the increasing years of popularity of the WPT, they have been adding extra colors to their television show. As a part of their constant effort to grow, in the year 2004, they added a special attraction, called "Walk Of Fame". Similar to other well known Walks of Fame it is intended to showcase poker players with exceptional talent. Moreover, they have also started a different section for the lady poker players as well.
