Million Dollar Listing is One of the most popular reality television programs in the United States. The show was first aired on the Bravo television network in August 2006.
This six-episode, one-hour series offers a look at the competitive world of real estate in some of California's exclusive neighborhoods.

In each episode of the show, viewers are able to watch the interaction that takes place among real estate agents, homeowners and potential buyers. The show also exposes the intense work that agents have to do to sell a property.

The television program's first season followed agents from two real estate companies, one in Hollywood and one in Malibu, as they work and compete to sell the hottest real estate listing of the week. Unlike the first season, the second season focused on three Los Angeles real estate agents--Josh Flagg, Madison Hildebrand and Chad Rogers. The show followed these three realtors as they tried to sell multi-million dollar properties in Hollywood, Malibu and Beverly Hills.

Most people, particularly those who have watched the show and those who love reading, have a general knowledge about the work of real estate agents. If asked about a real estate agent's job, many would probably say that real estate agents help people buy and sell houses. It sounds so simple but it is true. Real estate agents really help people who want to buy or sell a property. What is not so simple, however, is the work involved in doing this.

To avoid buying a home that will financially drain and emotionally strain you, you should know how much you can comfortably afford before looking at homes. If you cannot afford to pay in cash, find the loan that will best suit you. If you want someone to help you in your search, you can always seek the help of a real estate agent. Be sure, however, to hire someone who knows the location and type of home you want.
