It is the reason why we are afraid while watching horror movies. Even though we know we are completely safe we still scream during most petrifying scenes. That is the reason why we are afraid of the dark.

Sadly there is no way to get rid off this fears as they are hardwired in our brains. To be honest it's good because they have a function of the defending mechanisms. And without them watching scary movies wouldn't be so pleasurable as we wouldn't experience any fear during the most juicy scenes.

Summing it all up, movies are magical. The don't only guarantee us great time, but also allow us to experience something special, something that main character is taking part in. And only that is advantage good enough to make people love movies with their full hearts.
