A new series from the comedy production team AcuteTV hits the web on May 1. “Whorified! The Search for America’s Next Top Whore” is an edgy send-up of reality TV and its often irresponsible-seeming creators.

In addition to following the rapid deterioration of the show’s “contestants,” “Whorified!” follows the behind-the-scenes behavior of reality TV producers struggling to create a hit series at any cost—human, not monetary, of course.

The series is written and produced by Ann Marie Lindbloom and Jeff Venables, the creators of “Two Peas In Your Pod,” which was cited by Forbes magazine last year as among the top 15 most viewed shows on Michael Eisner’s video portal Veoh. The new show will be made available on iTunes, Veoh, Funny or Die, and Youtube. The teaser promo for the series, released last April, received over 55,000 discrete page views in one day, and now has millions of hits internationally.

The full series will premiere on Thursday, April 30, at a launch party and screening at Cinespace in Hollywood. The party, which is open to the public, will show the first six episodes of the series. The next four will then be released on the web over the month of May.
