Brad Pitt's Films To Date - How Do They rnCompare?

Submitted by JulyQ09

Beginning in 1985, Brad Pitt had a vision to become an actor, this dream took him on a journey to leave the college and r
aspire to become a famous actor. r
Arriving in LA, he began taking acting lessons from well-known acting coach Roy London, and ultimately received a small role on 'Another World', a daytime soap opera. Soon this small role would escalate the Brad Pitt films legacy for more than 20 years.

In addition to appearing in many television r
series, sitcoms and dramas alike, The silver screen has featured in excess of forty Brad Pitt films to r
round out his acting career. Many of the Brad Pitt r
films in his earlier days were not as well received as his current hit movies. For example, r
'Johnny Suede', 'A River Runs Through It' and 'Kalifornia' all Brad Pitt films from the 90s. After a major role in 'Interview with a Vampire' Brad r
was noticed as an energetic actor. This film and subsequently the next three Brad Pitt films afforded him several nominations or awards for his r
performances, including a Golden Globe for best supporting actor in '12 r
Monkeys'.

Brad Pitt films in the five year period leading up to 'Ocean's Eleven' r
mostly were mostly overlooked by the movie industry and general public in regards to awards, nominations and r
gross receipts. His character r
in Oceans Eleven, Rusty Ryan, stimulated Brad's career. Shortly thereafter he played Achilles in the hit r
movie, 'Troy', of which he was given the Teen Choice Award and a r
nomination for MTV's Best Male Performance award, the worldwide box office totals from 'Troy' amounted to nearly $500 million. An r
amazing sum for Brad Pitt and so far the highest r
grossing film for which he was the lead actor.

Brad Pitt r
films that went without an award or nomination between 2004 and 2008 was surprisingly, 'Ocean's r
Thirteen' and 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith'. However both of these films grossed over $100 million dollars r
in box office receipts. The most recent r
Brad Pitt film to collect a nomination was 'The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button', where Brad received a total of 5 nominations for Best Actor and Outstanding r
Performance by a Male actor from the Golden Globes, the SAG, BAFTA and the Oscars.

Future Brad Pitt films are 'The Tree of Life' and 'Inglourious Basterds' both scheduled for 2009 release. 'Inglourious r
Basterds', a Quentin Tarantino movie, where Brad plays an illiterate r
hillbilly from the mountains of Tennessee. The film has wrapped up after r
shooting on location in Germany and France and the producers expect to premier it at the Cannes Film Festival.
