Create Music With Software and Synthesizers!

Whether you are a professional who plays parties and clubs, or just someone who wants to learn to be a DJ as a hobby, there are many ways to make your own custom-made DJ jams, but deciding what you need to enhance what type of music you want to employ is sometimes confusing and overwhelming. Are you interested in new or old school dance and techno? Maybe freestyle is more your thing? Do you want to produce music? You can still make amazing music even if you are not privy to the studio equipment other DJs and musicians have.

If you would like to do live shows, you can turn your vision into a reality, but you must know what it is you need in order to accomplish your goal.

Hip Hop is a popular mainstream way of making a living in music and that may be a way to slip into the club groove, but first you must learn to make a beat - which is simply a song without voice, or vocals. Usually it is a repetition of 8 bars with a powerful drum and bass used mainly at the core of the song, but the tempo should be simple. Use MIDI patterns mainly. Most synthesizers use loop samples you can change to compress and stretch to put your unique DJ mixer style to them. Next, lay down synth pad, piano and chords. Try not to clutter it up and get bogged down with a lot of overblown orchestra.

There are so many avenues to choose from depending on what style of music you want to play and how much cash you have to play with. No matter what synthesizer you decide go with, it should still have a professional sound. It can feature dual audio plus video players. They should have independent decks along with pitch control; fast seek mode, and an autofade function. It should be able to play multiple songs, 10 band Equalizer and more than 10 presets that will enable you to go blazing fast. Do you want a lot of sound effects, such as as Flanger and Harmonies? If you really want to get down and dirty, rock your parties out with video clips along with your audios.

Today's synthesizers have come far, largely due to programmable software. The sequencer is tremendously important in terms of its uses and power, so don't be afraid to use that power to the full extent in order to get the most pleasure and performance out of it. Making music with good software is possible when you understand your equipment. Your software can be simple, yet still play the beats you desire, but only if you have patience with yourself.

Most importantly, have confidence and believe in yourself. Get out there and figure out what you want to do with your inborn talent, and don't be intimidated. Jump in and don't be afraid to experiment. After all, no one is born knowing how to create music.

If you hear it in your head, you can create it with your fingers.
