An Elvis tribute can be in many forms. There are bands that play his music and call the show an Elvis Tribute. There are also individuals that do Elvis tributes along with web sites that have everything a fan would ever want to know about the king made available.

But a true Elvis tribute would be for us to not only remember the King for his on stage performances but the kindness he showed people off stage. It is a well know fact that Elvis had a big heart. When family or friends needed a helping hand with bills or transportation, Elvis was the first to step forward with what was needed.

This is common amongst stars but what has set Elvis apart was his generosity to total strangers. This is the guy that bought every house on his army base in Germany a new television. As for the famous pink Cadillacs, Elvis purchased almost 200 of them in his life time. There were Christmas presents like when he purchases a wheel chair for an elderly lady from Memphis that needed help. Elvis not only had the best electric wheel chair that could be purchased bought but him and Priscilla together delivered it to the crippled lady. The lady lived in an old run down section of Memphis. In this house where the lady lived, they had to use newspapers to stop the drafts.

Once the lady saw the chair she tried to get up to use it but could not. Elvis then picked her up and placed her in this new chair of hers. Before leaving he looked around at the conditions of the house and felt very fortunate for what God has given him. He then placed several hundred dollars in the lady's hand and wished her a Merry Christmas.

The best Elvis tribute was his gift of kindness and generosity.
