Madonna Tickets a Sticky & Sweet Experience for Fans

MAY 12, 2008 – Madonna has unveiled the dates for her “Sticky & Sweet” concert tour in support of her 11th studio album, Hard Candy. The worldwide tour kicks off in Cardiff, Wales on August 23, exactly one week after the “Queen of Pop’s” 50th birthday and makes her first-ever stop in Vancouver at BC Place stadium, on October 30th.

Hard Candy, which has debuted at number one across the globe, has been dominating the charts since it’s release on April 25, 2008. The ever-modern material girl’s album features vocal appearances by today’s hottest pop artists, Justin Timberlake and Kanye West and producers-du-jour Timbaland and Pharrell Williams (who receive both performance and production credits on the album).

The closest Madonna has ever come to a Vancouver date was a stop in Seattle on her 1988 “Who’s That Girl” tour. Her last tour, in support of her 2005 album Confessions on a Dance Floor, was the highest-grossing tour of all time by a female artist and was seen by over 1.3 million fans in 25 countries.

Tickets for the Vancouver date are likely to be some of the hottest tickets of the tour, some of the ‘stickiest’ to get. Many fans have waited their entire lives for this moment and will likely be flying and driving in from all over Western Canada and Washington State. Tickets go on sale May 24th with prices ranging from $55 to $350; however tickets are already available for sale in the resale marketplace at prices ranging from $125 to $1,845 for front row centre!

As the show is likely to sell out quickly, many fans will eventually buy from the resale marketplace for their once-in-a-lifetime chance to see her "Madgesty."
