Mp3 Downloads And Your OptionsSubmitted by terrowhite Tue, 24 Nov 2009
With the ever growing popularity of mp3 downloads and free music downloads, you have many options available to you in how you get your music. So, just what option will best suit your needs? Here is some information for you to help make your decision.
Music downloads via the internet: This is a convient option and it is free as well. You must be aware though that this option comes with a string attached. Most songs you download from the internet are going to be copyrighted material making them illegal to actually download and distribute. The programs that let you get the free music downloads are host to a peer to peer sharing network and therefore they cannot check all the material that is being shared through them so sometimes things you are downloading are not only illegal but unsafe. You can, however, get music online legally and free! Yes, it is possible. There are sites out there, as well as peer to peer sharing programs, that obey copyright laws and all the mp3 downloads are completely legal. They are also usually a lot safer to use them sketchy or illegal websites and will be safer on your computer. The only downside to this option is the limited amount of music. Most of the stuff available will be by little known artists or underground artists so they may not be what you're looking for. You also have the option of paying a little cash for your tunes. This is a great option if you like supporting your favourite bands and don't mind spending a little money. These sites are of the highest quality and safety. They will provide you with any technical help you may need and they have huge music libraries, which basically guarantee that they will have what you are looking for. These sites usually offer songs for roughly 99 cents-1.25 so getting 12-3 songs, the average amount on a cd, will cost you roughly the same as the actual cd. Though with the hard copy you also get the album cover art, but to some people this isn't important anyways. Another option would be to purchase a monthly/yearly/lifetime subscription to one of these websites. If you do this, instead of paying for everything you download, all your music downloads will be covered under this one time cost. Once you have paid the one time cost, you have available to you a wealth of songs, an unlimited access to whatever you want at anytime you want it. You need only be careful that you are going with a trusted site. There are some sites out there that will look totally legitimate and are really frauds and once you have paid them you won't have access to anything. So do your homework and read customer reviews, it may save you a lot of tears in the end.
Here is a website to get you started with music downloads and mp3 downloads: bearshare.com it is a very well known and safe site and just may be the one you are looking for, for your downloading needs. Happy downloading!
