The portable locator is customized for applications such as electric wire and cable manufacturing; it locates cable faults for the purpose of both pre-location and pinpointing. This cable fault locator is widely used to test for line breaks and short-circuit faults of twisted-pair cable, data cable, high frequency cable and coaxial cable. It is also deployable for HFC systems to locate and reveal cable damages, tie-in dampness as well as terminal impedance failure.
The highly automatic cable fault locator, model 600, provides a test function that provides a comparison and an electronic map relevant to time domain, which brings great convenience to its user. It tests cables of 25 ohm, 50 ohm, 75 ohm and 100 ohm accurately with a test range from 2m to 8km.The locator features pulse widths between 270ns and 5.6μm,a wave range from 50 to 300m/μs and a backlit LCD screen for clear observation. Besides, it offers built-in rechargeable batteries which can be replaced by common 5# batteries.
