The Power of the 35mm SLR camera

SLR (single-lens reflex) cameras are the one of the best and most popular type of camera out there in the electronic world. There are several reasons why a pro SLR takes a better quality picture than a point and shoot model, even if the lesser totes a higher mega pixel image sensor.
First and foremost is the quality of the lenses available for top brand name SLR's. The glass is bigger, brighter and there is more of it to correct for lens aberrations. There are several main aberrations, or inherent defects in glass. Quality lens manufacturers use multiple glass elements in a lens in order to reduce or altogether eliminate these aberrations.
The 35mm SLR cameras are probably some of the most technologically advanced cameras. With the SLR 35mm Cameras you have more control over pictures. Evidently, all of these cameras use 35mm film, consisting of color negative film for prints, transparency film for slides, as well as black and white, and lastly, infrared film.
When picking a SLR camera, there are two options which include autofocus and manual focus. Most cameras are manufactured with auto focus, and generally manual focus is of more use to advanced photographers. Autofocus does tasks such as following the movement of your eyes so it can focus on what you're taking a photo of. Some also have a stabilization feature which most photographers find very handy. Most people prefer the convenience of auto focus. Auto focus takes the guesswork out of focusing and lets you concentrate on the picture. You can always turn the auto focus off and use the electronic range finder when you need precision. With the benefits of autofocus do come some negatives. Autofocus cameras tend to use a lot more battery power than a manual camera does. Although the autofocus features claims to track your eye movements, it rarely does so effectively and autofocus cameras tend to use parts that are lighter than and not as durable as those used on manual cameras. If your style of photography is more contemplative, you might consider a manual focus camera and lens combination.
An SLR has two advantages. The viewfinder image is projected through the lens so that both you and the built in exposure system see exactly what will record on the film, and you can mount different lenses depending on your vision of the moment. Since you are looking through the lens, a faster lens will give you an easier to see brighter image.
Just imagine the feel of a professional camera in your hands. There is nothing quite like the solid, satisfaction of using the best equipment. Can you picture yourself owning one of the finest pro single lens reflex cameras ever produced
