The Value of Purchasing a Custom Pretend Kitchen for Your ChildSubmitted by craigan Tue, 4 Aug 2009
The value of a pretend kitchen is it will help your child develop some very useful skills. Raising kids is a huge responsibility and anything a parent can do to make it easier and more effective the better. A toy kitchen for your child is one of those toys that are fun and educational at the same time. They don't cost a whole lot of money but they can help teach kids some valuable lessons about helping out in the kitchen.
Working in the kitchen comes with many risks and protocols that as adults we take for granted. But a pretend kitchen can help you educate your child about these rules of safety and responsibility. Everything from hot stoves, sharp knives and clean up can be taught in a safe and fun way. Bonding with children is much more effective when the two of you are involved in an activity that is fun and educational. A pretend kitchen is a wonderful tool for teaching socialization and personal responsibility. The lessons learned will save you time and energy when your child helps you in the real kitchen. They will probably want to teach their younger siblings what they learned from you with the miniature kitchen. Now for some the temptation is to get the cheapest or least expensive model of kitchen but this can be a mistake. You do get what you pay for and spending a few extra dollars will go a long way in the end. You'll get ample accessories and the kitchen will be constructed well for many hours of use. The model could probably be used by multiple children and stand up to their use. Shopping around for a pretend kitchen model that offers as many accessories as possible is a good decision. Make sure to get a toy kitchen that features include refrigerator, oven, and freezer which can open and close; removable sink, see-through oven and microwave doors; knobs on the sink and oven; water graphics on the dish washer and convenient storage places above and below the sink.. Expect to pay around $150 for a great model that will last a long time and provide many hours of fun.
A pretend kitchen for your child will provide them with hours of entertainment while they get the opportunity to be like Mommy or Daddy working in the kitchen. This is not only valuable but great fun for them also!
