A citizen's responsibility before annual budget 2009

India Budget 2009 is looming large and one wonders how it will hit the common man or aam aadmi. For the majority who start complaining about the rising prices or the heavy taxes only after they go out to the market a few days after budget or to the Income Tax office, here is an advice.

If the common man took some pains to have a look at the previous budgets or the budgetary policies, it would only be doing the duty of a responsible citizen. With the Budget 2009 news splashed all over the media along with expectations and fears, it is easier now to spruce up one's basic's than it was some years back.

But it would be wiser to keep one's critical faculties alert for media is often accused of going overboard in the enthusiasm for full coverage and tight competition. So, when Budget India 2009 starts unfolding this 6th of July one better be prepared. After all the faith with which the citizens have voted the government this time, it is a good practice to keep an eye on the Selected Ones when the time of their performance begins.
