Credit card wallet

Submitted by articles@outdoorcamerasecurity.com

For most of the world a credit card wallet is simply a case where a person would place their credit cards for safe keeping. They can be fancy and made out of exotic skins like stingray. They can also be basic like what a child would make in a craft class. But there is another definition of wallet out there in the world.

In many parts of the world in many countries the term wallet is a reference to a type of load a merchant would have. When a person needs to load up their cell phone with credit they find a merchant who has already purchased a wallet load. The amount tendered is the amount transferred to the customers' cell phone for use. This is a very common practice especially in third world countries. In this instance the cell phone companies limit the amount of time this type of credit load remains active. The lower the amount purchased the faster it expires. As an example the lowest amount that can be purchased is equivalent to 40 US cents. This is only good for 24 hours. If the person does not use it up it disappears. Larger amounts can be purchased but the upper limit is 2 weeks before the credit load of this type expires and all the remaining credit can no longer be used. The expired credits are then transferred to profit by the company.

There are other types of credit card wallets that a person can purchase. Many companies and stores have these. Some are called gift certificates or cash certificates but the main purpose is to get the customers money as fast as possible. There are even those that are sold that have no cash value so when part of it remains from the purchase, the change is just absorbed into the company's profits.

Be careful and read the fine print when it comes to the different types of credit card wallets.
