Enhance your Job Opportunities in Recession

Submitted by saurabh kanwar
Thu, 19 Feb 2009

The word ‘recession’ has impelled even a common man to look closely what is the factual meaning of money management techniques, bail out plans, retrenchment and much more. Nobody was much familiar with such words before the recession. But now everybody from a kid to a housewife to a grand parent is well versed with these words. People have become cautious and start following the money management techniques. All the spendthrift habits have taken a back seat.

Out of these ‘job retrenchment’ has become the talk of the town. The job opportunities have become bleak and the retrenchment rate has increased in most of the big companies. Even dexterous students are also worried and insecure about their future jobs.

Cost cutting in almost every other company has certainly affected the nation as a whole. Due to Recession the employment class is really getting goose bumps now and then. But nothing is constant like our lives. Even this situation will also die away with passage of time.

But till then you need to be optimistic and find out the best way to come out of this situation. You may think upon the following pragmatic financial solutions to get rid of the unemployment opportunities:

  • Food industry: Nothing will happen to this industry as food is one of the foremost basic necessities to live. You may open up your food restaurant on a small scale and eradicate your employment worries.

  • Micro-financing: You may open a small firm and start financing the poor people for their small ventures. First you can start on a very small scale. Once you click the right chord then go for the expansion.

  • Money management consultancies: By opening up a small consultancy firm and providing optimum solutions to the general public can be a promising carrier. You may help them by giving remedies to mitigate their debt faster and run a smooth financial life.

  • Financial bootstrapping: You may start up your business with the help of financial bootstrapping. It means starting a new business without start-up capital. You can raise funds for your business from internal sources rather than external source. The internal sources can be retained earnings, second mortgages, personal savings, loan from friends and relatives etc.

  • Alcohol and cigarette: The manufacturers and retailers of this industry are in safe hand as far as the employment issues are concerned.

  • Other industries: You may also start small scale ventures in the following sectors:
    • Hair dresser

    • Media

    • Pharmaceuticals etc.

  • You can really start your own venture and combat with the ongoing recession in a wiser way. There is no need to worry about the recession rather you should look for remedies like above. Starting your own business will bring a sense of pride in you and help you to get rid of the financial worries.
