Compare Washington Auto Insurance Quotes and Save Today!

Submitted by blacksirius

The costs of driving an uninsured vehicle can be very high when bad things happen. Auto insurance companies exist in the American State of Washington as much as they do anywhere else. There are about 60 auto insurers with their headquarters in the State of Washington; and these companies are regulated by the Washington Insurance Commissioners Office.

Although there are State-mandated coverage requirements, these auto insurer companies set rates according to claim risk levels, meaning that there are differing insurance and premium rates throughout the State.

The absolute minimum coverage requirements - those laid down by the State - account for any bodily injury and property damage you may cause when you are driving. The exact figures are: $25,000 per person; $50,000 per accident; and $10,000 for property damage. This is commonly referred to as 25/50/10 coverage.

This paragraph discusses some optional coverage options in Washington in more detail. The Personal Injury Protection (PIP) scheme makes payments for portions of medical expenses, lost wages and resulting child care costs - whoever would be to blame in the event of an accident; while medical payment coverage accounts for medical and funeral expenses. "Collision" costs cover damage to your automobile caused by a collision. "Comprehensive" insurance concerns damage to your automobile by causes other than a collision.

The rate of one's auto premium in Washington is determined by a number of factors. The final result is the base premium with certain additions or deductions, judged by the individual's age, driving pattern, marital status, claims history, location and credit history.

When you search for "Washington Auto Insurance" on Google the first result is a map with a list of ten example insurance companies in Washington, complete with phone numbers and their own URLs, next to it. But read between the lines.

Do your homework and you can be well on your way to finding the best Washington Auto Insurance. With simple knowledge and research, you also can find cheap car insurance for women that cover all of your needs!
