The Promise of the Health Insurance Bill

Submitted by chadisenberg

Today, the battle on the health insurance bill in the US Congress is on-going. Meanwhile, at the White House, the President is strongly pushing through of it is passage. Politically, health insurance is a matter of a critical issue and it should be treated with wit and urgency. It can be remembered that just a few days, President Barack Obama signed the Kids Health Insurance Bill that would safeguard health funds for American children not just today but also in the future. However, a universal bill on health insurance is still a major concern of the White House thus as proofs to this, the executive has spearheaded a campaign in soliciting support from millions of Americans through different media.

The issue revolving the passing of this bill is asserted by the White House to be politically implicated claiming that those who oppose its passage are nevertheless the few people who benefit from its flaws. The promise of the bill could somehow to help marginalize and control the health insurance companies from imposing high premiums and bringing back to every American the fund that they deserve. The other view however state that the proposed bill is just redundant and will not change anything at all in the health system. Many legislators would even assert that the bill is similar to the stimulus package bill that the administration has pursued months before.

But the White House is positive that the health insurance bill would not just be beneficial to contributing Americans but as well as the insurance companies. Insurance plans and insurance coverage are set to a certain limit and range so not to create any downfall effect on the side of the insurance company. Aside from this, contribution will rise as more Americans now can afford health insurance premiums as backed by the said law. The only difference now is that the bill proposes of a consolidated fund and lower interest rates.

Now on the verge of splitting of votes, US Congress is set to again decide on a critical issue on America ever that will leave a long term impact. The question now is that, will the US Congress grant every American's dream of an affordable and effective medical insurance? Or will it just listen to those few elites who fervently block the passage of the promised low-cost health insurance by the bill? In the end, this issue will remain as something history will judge.
