Auto Title Loans Prove More Flexible Than Payday Loans

Submitted by ramelillo

Auto title loans are increasing in popularity as more consumers are becoming aware of them and the advantages they hold over payday loans. Obviously, if someone does not own a vehicle they are unable to get an auto title loan. For those who do own a vehicle that is free of liens auto title loans may prove to be a far better option as compared to payday loans.

Auto title loans are personal loans given based on the equity in your auto (car, truck, motorcycle, etc). Most companies have regulations about the age of a vehicle, mileage, type of vehicle, etc, so it is important to find out quickly if your vehicle is eligible for auto title loans from the company you are considering.

Some auto title loans will do a credit check, though there are some that will not. This means it is faster and easier to get approved for auto title loans. Typically auto title loans and payday loans offer relatively quick approval, though often payday loans require a little more paperwork.

One significant difference between auto title loans and payday loans is the interest rate charged. Very often the payday loans have a significantly higher interest rate as compared to auto title loans. Auto title loans are secured by actual collateral whereas payday loans are not. This plays a role in the difference in interest rates.

In addition to a difference in interest rates, payday loans are typically due on your very next payday. Weekly payments are the industry standard. For auto title loans there is more flexibility including some companies that offer a 30-day payment period to give you more time to get your finances together and loan satisfied.

Though it may not seem like a significant difference, cash flow issues is the main reason people consider auto title loans and payday loans so their payment schedule is important to keep in mind.

If you need fast cash and are considering payday loans and auto title loans you should do a comparison and choose the one that makes the most sense for you. It may just prove that you are far better off with auto title loans.
