Baltimore, md real estate: what the state has to offer home buyers

Maryland is a state with a diverse population, rich history, and distinct charm. For a relatively small state of about 5,600,388 residents, Maryland has many different neighborhoods with their own individual character. From the older historical neighborhoods of Federal Hill and Fells Point in Baltimore to the waterside residents in Annapolis to the rural neighborhoods of the western and northern counties, Maryland has something to offer for everyone.

LOCATION

Located centrally on the east coast, Maryland is convenient to several major metropolitan areas including New York, NY (3 hours North), York, PA (1 hour North), and Atlantic City, NJ (2 hours and 30 minutes Northeast). With so much to do in the state of Maryland, most Maryland residents don’t travel too far. Maryland has the mountains of Western Maryland and the Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic Ocean to the East.

AFFORDABILITY

With a lower cost of living than most major cities in the U.S., Baltimore, MD real estate is extremely affordable. Whether you are looking to rent or buy, Maryland offers affordable housing for all income levels. Whether you are looking for the city experience, a more rural lifestyle or just a beautiful community where you want to raise your family, Maryland has a lot to offer.

THINGS TO DO

No matter what your interests are, Maryland’s geographical area, numerous places of interest, and diverse background make it a unique location with many different activities to offer. Whether your interests are sailing the Chesapeake Bay, skiing the mountains of Western Maryland, exploring the Inner Harbor, fishing the beaches of Assateague, strolling through the National Aquarium, or catching a ball game at Camden Yards, Maryland has much to offer.

Here are a few more reasons that people like to call Maryland home:
• Maryland is a town that loves sports. With the rich history of the Orioles, Colts, and Preakness horse racing and recent success of the 2001 Superbowl Champion Baltimore Ravens, Baltimore, Maryland has much to offer to the sports fan.
• With the abundance of the Chesapeake Bay, Baltimore, Maryland is known worldwide for its seafood, particularly the Chesapeake Bay oysters and Maryland blue crabs. Baltimore has many excellent restaurants spread throughout the city.
• Maryland offers a diverse population including many different races and ethnicities.
