De-cluttering your CondoSubmitted by DeirdreGonzales Wed, 10 Jun 2009
An organized surrounding is the key to an organized mind. Whether some people admit it or not, a clean, clutter-free room could ease the mind. It's sometimes harder to concentrate if your surroundings are cluttered and full of things strewn around.
Aside from the psychological perks of a clutter-free home, it also does a lot in making any area look pleasing. This becomes especially important if you're living in a makati condo. A clutter-free room with a small floor area could actually look bigger than any cluttered and disorganized room. With the number of people living in a makati condo, learning to de-clutter is a skill that needs to be learned. The first step in designing any makati condo is to de-clutter your condo unit. De-cluttering can be very difficult for some people who find it hard to say goodbye even to things they rarely use. Below are some de-cluttering tips to help you make your home or condo clutter-free. * One area at a time. Although this wouldn't be much of a problem if your room or condo unit is small, this is a sound advice for those who have big houses. De-cluttering can be very overwhelming if you have a lot of area to cover. Put your de-cluttering skills to use but limit it to small areas at a time especially if you are new to this. Over time, you'll find your groove and style in de-cluttering and you'll be able to handle bigger areas. * Make time. Somehow, there will always be other things you could do other than clear your clutter. Solve this by setting aside a specific time when you will do your de-cluttering. Always try to stick to your schedule. * Total de-cluttering. Avoid partially de-cluttering only. This often happens when you don't feel like sorting through all the clutter and just choosing some that stand out to you. When organizing shelves, drawers, and cabinets, remove everything then sort through the stuff by putting back the items one at a time. While putting back each item, make sure to ask yourself whether you need it or whether you could do away with it. * Don't be a hoarder. If you haven't used something in years, chances are you won't use them again. Avoid hoarding stuff with the premise that they ‘might' be of use someday. If you think you won't be able to find use for it within the next twelve months then it might be a good idea to get rid of it.
